Chapter 441 You're Shameless

"I did not deceive you. Haven't you seen it for yourself? Alexander, I must confess, it's too late, for I am already wedded to William!" Ava said.

Even though her marriage to William was a sham, it did not imply that upon Alexander proposing remarriage, she was bound to divorce William immediately to marry Alexander. How absurd a notion would that be?

Moreover, there was no need to informe Alexander about her fake marriage to William.

"You've obtained the marriage certificate already?" Alexander stared at her incredulously, seeking to confirm the final verdict, hoping she would provide a different answer.

However, reality often cruelly defied wishes.

Ava nodded in anguish. "Yes, we just got it today. Hence, there is no time left between us. Didn't you promise to marry Isabella? Go and marry her. Our marriage, from the start, revolved around her presence. No matter what you say, we can never bypass Isabella."

"No!" Alexander's emotions heightened. "How could you marry William? How could you? Ava, how could you do this to me? Weren't you friends? How could you marry your friend?"

"I did marry him." Ava raised her voice. "He's good to me. Why can't I marry him? How much hurt have you caused me? How many times have you accused me or misunderstood me for Isabella? Everything you've done to me can't be erased just because you say you love me! Alexander, we're done!"

There's no use crying over spilt milk.

Alexander's heart seemed to split in half, bleeding.

He came here today to find her, setting aside all his pride, speaking his heart out, only to receive such an answer?

How ridiculous, yet so cruel!

"Ava, you deceiver!" Alexander roared, "You said you were friends, but you married him. How long has it been since our divorce? Not even a month, and you've already married him. I see you've been lying to me all along. You must have been having an affair with him!"

He even wondered if she had been cheating within the marriage, and if everything she told him was a lie. Otherwise, how could she have married William so quickly?

"It is enough, Alexander. We're already divorced. What's the point of dwelling on these things? I beg you, please leave. Spare me, okay?"

"Spare you?" Alexander seemed like a maniac, a raging beast. He said angrily, "I've laid everything out in front of you. All I said to you was sincere, and this is how you treat me! Now you want me to spare you! Ava, how could you be so cruel?"

"Am I cruel? Alexander, how can you say such things? You arrogantly divorced me, and now you say I'm cruel. You're shameless!"

"I'm shameless?" Hearing his beloved woman accuse him like that, Alexander's world crumbled, and he suddenly laughed. "You're right. I am shameless. I can do even more shameless things!"

Feeling the last shred of restraint torn away, Ava was engulfed in panic, her world spinning.

"Fine, I get it. Be careful on your way with Mom."

In the corridor, William was on the phone with Dalton, just learning that his parents were leaving that day.

William was somewhat surprised. Why were they suddenly going on a trip, especially to such a secluded place?

He thought they would leave in a few days, but didn't expect them to go in such a hurry.

There must be a reason for this. His father, over the years, didn't seem like someone who wanted to mend things with his mother.

Thinking this way, his father must not be going willingly. Maybe it was related to his uncle. Brandon was not a good person.

William arrived at Ava's door and rang the doorbell.
