Chapter 834 Who Knows
Madison stood up. "Mr. Mitchell, Scarlett's gone to rest. I'll be heading out."
Alexander walked over. "Thanks a lot for today. Sorry if I kept you."
Madison smiled. "I had nothing important. Happy to help."
Alexander offered, "Let me take you home."
Madison hesitated but wanted to spend time with him, so she nodded. "Okay, thanks."
Just as they were about to leave, a voice called out.
"Alexander. Ms. Allen." Mia walked over.
Alexander stopped and turned. Mia approached, smiling, her eyes on Madison.
"Ms. Allen, nice to meet you."
Madison replied, "Hello, Mia. You're so beautiful and young."
Madison was genuinely impressed. Mia looked just over thirty, young and charming. Madison, in her twenties, felt a bit inferior.
No wonder Alexander was so handsome, with such a beautiful mom. And his dad, George, was also good-looking. They made a perfect pair, and their son inherited the best of both of them.
Mia smiled. "I can't compare to you young girls."
"No, Mia, you're amazing. Your wisdom and grace are something I aspire to."
"You really know how to talk."
Mia had met many smooth talkers. Madison wasn't particularly special, but at least she wasn't annoying.
Mia said, "I didn't know Alexander had a friend like you. Alexander, why didn't you tell me? You should've brought Ms. Allen over earlier for a meal."
Alexander replied indifferently, "Now you know each other, right?"
His tone wasn't cold but distant.
Mia forced a smile. "Yes, now we know each other."
Madison sensed the odd atmosphere. She wondered if Alexander and Mia weren't on good terms. But she stayed quiet, feeling like an outsider.
Mia studied Madison's face and demeanor, seeing a bit of Ava in her. That was probably why Alexander knew her.
Mia added, "Alexander, take Ms. Allen home. Treat her to a meal to thank her. You might need her help again. Scarlett might want to see Ava again soon."
Alexander nodded. "Got it. Ms. Allen, let's go."
Madison politely said, "Goodbye, Mia."
Mia replied, "Goodbye."
She watched them leave, sighing softly.
"Mia." George's voice came from behind.
Mia turned around.
"Is Scarlett asleep?"
George asked, "Yes, has Alexander left?"
Mia answered, "He left with Ms. Allen."
"Ms. Allen, is she Alexander's new girlfriend?" George asked.
Mia looked at their departing figures and said, "Even if she isn't now, she might be in the future. Who knows?"
