Chapter430 A Gentle and Considerate Man

William asked, "Did he approach you, or was it the other way around?"

Ava replied, "He thought I was upset, so he came to ask me what was wrong."

"Are you upset?" William asked, concerned.

Ava said, "No, I was just quiet. I wasn't upset."

"I see." William pondered, feeling that Ava was hiding something from him. "Eason seems quite interested in you."

Ava blinked in confusion, turning to face William's distinct profile. She sensed a tinge of jealousy.

"He's only eighteen," she said with a smile.

"Eighteen." William's eyebrows relaxed, but then a thought crossed his mind. "Ava was only twenty-one, just three years older than Eason."

"Ayoung and vibrant handsome lad at eighteen was, a favorite among many young ladies today," William tentatively remarked.

Ava nodded. "Eason is good at complimenting, always praising my beauty and caring for me. He's adorable, and his voice is so soothing. It brightens my mood."

"Is that so?" William's mouth twitched, showing a hint of displeasure. However, he composed himself. "Is he really that exceptional? Some boys can be deceitful, pretending to be nice to everyone. Don't let him fool you."

"Don't worry," Ava said. "He's a genius; he's already pursuing his Ph.D."

"Genius." A hint of trepidation flickered in William's eyes. This young man, aged eighteen, a prodigy pursuing his doctorate, possessed both handsome looks and a penchant for compliments. His words exuded a sense of ease and comfort, uplifting Ava's spirits with each utterance.

His sense of crisis was off the charts!

William tightened his grip on the steering wheel.

"That's even worse. A genius who knows how to please people. When he deceives, no one can see through his facade."

Ava furrowed her brow. "Why do you always think he's a liar? You've only seen him for less than a minute, and you've already formed such a conclusion. That's not like you."

"I just hope you'll be careful. You're kind and don't have a suspicious mind, but they're different. They won't hesitate to take advantage of you, especially those smooth-talkers. I don't like those who constantly flatter others; they're hypocritical."

Ava's lips curved into a smile as if she had discovered something.

"You're right. I think few people can match your gentle and patient nature. Your thoughtful personality is more appealing than a young and energetic handsome guy."

William heard Ava praise him for being gentle, considerate, and patient. His lips twitched as if he wanted to smile but held back.

"Really? You think I'm gentle and considerate?"

"Of course." Ava nodded vigorously. "You're not only gentle and considerate but also a tall, handsome, and mature man of character. I'd give you a score of ninety-nine, with one point deducted because I'm afraid you might become arrogant due to your excellence."

William's lips twitched, and a smile finally appeared on his face.

Ava's words praising him reduced the jealousy-induced sense of crisis.

"An outstanding man like you will surely meet a girl who loves you deeply," Ava sighed pensively.

The smile on William's face disappeared. He frowned. "Ava, you should remember that we're getting married today, and after we get married, we'll be husband and wife."

Ava said, "Yes, but aren't we having a fake marriage?"
