"This bracelet should be your bracelet," Bishop said with a serious expression. "It must have been sent by the person who stole it."
Just then, Ava's phone rang.
The caller ID showed an unknown number, but Ava had already guessed who it was. She answered and put it on speaker.
"Do you like the bracelet? I sent it to you."
She hadn't expected this person to suddenly appear and even make contact with her child.
Ava was furious. "I warn you, if you dare to harm my child, I will never let you go!"
"Calm down. If I had harmed him, would you still be able to see him? I'm just returning your things."
"Then tell me, what is your purpose? What do you want?"
"Why are you so scared? If I wanted to harm you, you would have been dead already."
Ava gritted her teeth. "You..."
"I have something to do, so I'll be busy for now. I'll contact you later." With that, the caller hung up.
"Hello? Hello?" Ava immediately tried to call back, but the number was already disconnected.
Whoever the person was, they were certainly very smart.
"Ava, don't panic. If you panic, you'll fall into his trap. He's deliberately trying to mess with your mind."
"I really don't understand. Who is he? It's clear he knows me well, even my every move, but I know nothing about him."
Bishop held her hand. "I'll be with you. You're not alone."
Ava turned her head, her gaze falling silently on his large hand.
Meanwhile, Madison and Emily were restless, unable to eat or sleep.
They were holding their phones, reading the latest chapter from the author.
The author updated frequently, and the things Madison and Emily had done were blatantly revealed in the novel.
After putting down her phone, Madison sneaked a glance at Emily.
Then, Madison swiped a few times on her phone screen and set it aside.
"Emily, this book has written out everything we've done."
After a pause, Madison continued, "You told me no one saw you when you injected Scarlett with that drug. Are you sure?"
Emily nodded. "Of course, I'm sure. No one saw me, and I was wearing a nurse's uniform at the time. Even if someone saw, they wouldn't know it was me."
Madison said, "Emily, it's fine if you tell me, but don't tell anyone else. Otherwise, they won't let you off. We're sisters, after all. I'll help you keep it a secret and won't let them know you killed Scarlett."
Emily frowned. "What are you talking about? We both did this. Don't act like it was just me. Don't forget, you orchestrated all of this."
Madison said, "You're right. I must be confused. So, we're on the same side now. We have to stick together and not let this get out. Let's not panic. They wrote it in the novel because they have no evidence. Otherwise, they would have gone to the police."
"Exactly," Emily said with a smile. "Now I feel better. Without evidence, they can only write it in the novel."
"Emily, it's very late. You should go to sleep. I need to sleep too."
Emily yawned. "Alright, I'll go to bed now." Madison and Emily then went back to their respective rooms.
