Chapter 662 Are You Okay?

"You got it right, I just do it for fun," the man chuckled softly. His hand, clad in a black glove, gave her cheek a pinch. "Close your eyes," he ordered.

"What are you going to do?" She became more reluctant to close her eyes the more she was urged to do so, unsure of what he would do once her eyes were shut.

He seemed to guess what she was thinking. "If I wanted to do something to you, would it help if your eyes were open? Be good."

He cupped her face with both hands, almost distorting it. "Be careful with the bastard in your belly."

His voice was exceptionally soft, but each word carried unparalleled cruelty. Ava could only follow his words and close her eyes in pain.

Immediately after, the man released her face.

Suddenly, Ava felt a cloth covering her eyes.

After blindfolding her, he grabbed her arm and led her out of the room.

Ava didn't know where he was taking her. All she knew was that he had put her in a car. She had no idea how long they had been driving, as she hadn't checked the time in a while and had almost lost track of it.

Later, Ava was pulled out of the car.

She was hoisted up directly by the man and taken to a place where she was then tied to an iron bar.

Ava knew it was futile to speak. If this man didn't want to talk to her, it would be pointless to ask questions. She might as well save her energy.

After tying her up, the man left. After a while, Ava suddenly heard a woman's pleading voice. "I've done everything you asked, please let me go."

Ava was startled to hear this voice.

'Isn't that Evelyn's voice?' she thought.

It sounded like it was coming from nearby, maybe next door.

Something fell to the ground, followed by a woman's scream. "Ahhh!"

Ava's heart skipped a beat.

"Please spare me, I've done everything you asked, you gave me your word!" Evelyn begged on her knees.

"What did I promise you?" the man asked coldly.

Evelyn cried, "You promised that if I followed your order, you would set me free."

Ava found this strange. Could it be that Evelyn had told the kidnappers to capture her on this man's orders?

The man laughed, "How can you be so naive? Just because I made a promise, I have to keep it? When did humans ever keep their promises? Aren't you all just different kinds of bitches?"

Hearing this, Evelyn became frantic. "But you gave me your word! Are you backing out now?"

"You want me to keep my word?" The man looked like he heard a joke."Are you alright? Is your head functioning properly? Are you mentally sound?"

The man kicked her and stepped on her shoulder.

"Ah!" Evelyn let out a scream.

"You, a gambling junkie, had the nerve to get your own niece kidnapped just to save your own life. If it weren't for me, she would have been raped and killed by now. And you, a piece of garbage, expect me to keep my word? You think you're worth it? Damn, you're disgusting. You're nothing but rubbish and you dare to judge me!"

Ava felt more puzzled. It seemed it wasn't this man who instructed Evelyn to have her kidnapped. So what exactly did Evelyn do according to his orders?

Ava heard the thud and Evelyn's screams. It was clear that the man was beating her.

Ava's palms were sweating.

Although she hated Evelyn for selling her out to the kidnappers, it was also a undeniable fact that this man was a complete psycho.

So far, he had killed the kidnapper, tortured her aunt, but left her alone. However, she wasn't sure if he would suddenly turn on her.

There was no rhyme or reason to what a psycho might do, and no way to see it coming.
