Chapter 44 It's All His Fault

With Alexander in her presence, Ava felt an unyielding need to distract herself.
Alexander snatched the things from her hands and threw them aside, "Stop being so sarcastic."
"I'm just telling the truth. But speaking of which, haven't you also found relief? You secretly sent Isabella abroad, and during your two-month business trip, you were actually with her. You must have also had enough of this marriage. You must have also felt wronged this past year."
The mere thought of it sent shivers down Ava's spine. She was aware, even before their marriage, that Alexander harbored feelings for Isabella. His kindness towards her over the past year must have felt more like a duty he was fulfilling rather than genuine affection.
However, she had always held onto the belief that, at least during their year of marriage, he had been faithful. She never anticipated that he would commit such an act.
Alexander's eyebrows knitted together, his face darkening like a stormy sky, "Who told you this?"
"Who told me?" Ava turned her head, feigning innocence, "It certainly wasn't Isabella. She's so pure, kind, and gentle; how could she possibly tell me such a thing to upset me? It must have been a dream."
"Ava, don't talk to me in that tone."
He was uncomfortable. She had changed.
"What tone should I use to talk to you then? Anyway, no matter what I say, you'll think I'm slandering your Isabella. She's a noble white lotus; how could she bear any smear from me? You've really suffered this year; sleeping with two women must have been exhausting."
Alexander was extremely angry. He had a fiery look in his eyes.
He grabbed her shoulders and pushed her onto the sofa, "What do you mean? Explain yourself!"
"I've made myself clear enough; let me go!"
"Ava, it seems I've spoiled you too much this year. You're getting too arrogant!"
Alexander's face was extremely ugly; he resembled an irritable lion.
"Let me go!" Ava's shoulders hurt from his grip.
"Uh..."
The man suddenly lowered his head and kissed her lips fiercely, as if to punish her, or perhaps to vent his frustration.
She had so misunderstood him!
Ava desperately pushed against his shoulders. She tried to push him away, but the man's body was as hard as stone; it was like a mountain was pressing on her. She couldn't move him at all; she could only let him gnaw at her like a beast.
Alexander completely disregarded the occasion, showing no intention of letting her go.
Soon, his hands began to wander inappropriately over her body.
Ava was on the verge of a breakdown.
This was Grandma's living room. Although Grandma was resting and the servants were not here, someone could come over at any time!
In order to make him stop, Ava gritted her teeth, opened her mouth, and bit down hard.
A sharp pain spread across Alexander’s lips, and he let her go, "Are you a dog? Why the heck are you biting me?!"
"If you didn't forcibly kiss me, could I bite you?" Ava retorted defiantly.
Alexander raised his hand and wiped the blood from his lips.
She had bitten him...
"Oh my, young people these days are so impatient; they don't even care about the occasion."
Scarlett's voice suddenly rang out.
The two on the sofa were startled and sat upright.
They looked and found three more people in the living room: Grandma and Alexander's parents.
Grandma was near the stairs, and Alexander's parents were standing outside the living room door. The three of them were practically surrounding them.
They had seen everything that had just transpired, not missing a single detail.
Ava's face instantly turned a deep shade of red. She lowered her head, too embarrassed to face anyone, and pinched Alexander's arm hard.
It was all his fault. She was utterly humiliated.
