Chapter 1218 Didn't Love the Wrong Person

After Madison was sent home, the bodyguard seemed afraid she would run away and stood guard at her door all night.

Madison stayed in her room, crying into her pillow.

She had finally gotten pregnant, and she couldn't let this child be aborted, or she would lose her chance.

Madison wiped the tears from her face, then took out her phone and dialed a number.

When the call connected, Madison lowered her voice and said, "Alexander is taking me to get an abortion tomorrow. He doesn't want this child, and now the bodyguard is guarding the door. How can I escape?"

Eason yawned and said, "Why are you panicking? The abortion hasn't even happened yet."

"But Alexander is taking me tomorrow. Help me think of a way. I finally got pregnant, and if the child is aborted, I'll never have a chance to be with Alexander again."

"You always come to me when you have a problem. Why are you so useless?"

Madison wiped the tears from her face. "If I'm so useless, why do you keep me around?"

Eason gently pinched the bridge of his nose. "Madison, I suggest you get a good night's sleep. Tomorrow's problem will solve itself."

"What are you saying?"

Before Madison could get a response, Eason had already hung up the phone.

"Hello, hello?"

Madison was a bit frantic and quickly dialed back, but Eason directly hung up.

Madison clenched her fists and pounded the pillow a few times.

The next morning, Madison was taken to the hospital by the bodyguard, where Alexander was already waiting.

Madison looked unwell; she hadn't slept all night and had only managed to get a little sleep in the early morning, so she looked very pale.

"Before the surgery, we'll do a check-up. I've arranged for the best doctor, and it's a painless procedure to minimize harm to your body."

"Alexander," Madison gently tugged at his sleeve, "I won't bother you. Let me keep the child, and we won't appear in front of you, okay?"

Alexander acted as if he hadn't heard her and had her taken inside without a word.

Madison was like a machine being manipulated. The doctor performed a check-up and then took Alexander into the office.

"Mr. Mitchell, Ms. Allen cannot undergo the surgery," the doctor said seriously, holding the examination report.

Alexander's face turned cold, "Why?"

"I carefully reviewed her medical history and conducted a series of tests. She had a heart transplant less than six months ago, and now her heart is under increased strain, with declining function and unstable indicators."

"And then?" Alexander pressed.

The doctor replied, "This means that an abortion could pose a significant threat to her heart health. The additional strain could lead to complications, even endangering her life."

Alexander's mouth twitched slightly, "So you're saying the abortion can't be done?"

The doctor glanced at the report and continued, "If the surgery is performed, Ms. Allen's body might not be able to handle it, posing great risks. Even if the abortion is successful, she might spend the rest of her life in weakness and danger. The harm to her body would be too great. Mr. Mitchell, do you want to reconsider?"

Alexander left the office and returned to Madison.

Madison immediately stood up from her chair, looking at Alexander with tearful eyes.

"If you want to keep the child, then keep it. I'll transfer money to your account."

Madison's heart leaped with joy, "You're willing to let me keep the child?"

She was overjoyed and grabbed his hand, "Alexander."

Alexander mercilessly shook off her hand, "I have things to do. I'll leave now. The bodyguard will take you back."

Madison stood there in a daze, listening to Alexander's departing footsteps, feeling lost.

At that moment, the doctor came over, and Madison immediately asked, "What's going on?"

The doctor explained the situation to Madison.

After hearing it, Madison didn't know whether to feel happy or scared.

If Alexander had disregarded her health and forced her to have an abortion, she would have had no way out. But in the end, Alexander chose to let her keep the child.

She had indeed not loved the wrong person.
