Chapter 1075 Nostalgic People
Ava's eyes flashed with some confusion. Why did Mia ask her about William right away?
Mia seemed to realize that her question was a bit off, so she changed her topic and asked, "Ava, how are you doing?"
Ava smiled faintly. "I'm doing quite well."
Mia saw Sunny in Bishop's arms and quickly asked, "Who is this child?"
Ava immediately took Sunny over and said, "Mom, this is Sunny."
"Can I hold him?"
"Of course." Ava handed Sunny to her.
Mia held Sunny in her arms. Looking at Sunny's tiny nose and eyes, she felt warm in her heart.
"By the way, Mom, I divorced William today."
"What did you say?" Mia looked up in shock. "Why did you divorce him?"
"Our marriage wasn't real from the start, so it's normal to get divorced now."
She didn't mention William's issues, thinking that William and Mia didn't seem to have a good relationship.
Mia worried that saying too much might reveal something, so she said, "Alright then, it's not my place to interfere in young people's matters. Have you met Alexander?"
"Yes. He's doing well with Madison now."
Mia smiled awkwardly. "He's quite the romantic."
Ava didn't say much more. She took Sunny back and said, "Mom, it looks like your friend is still waiting for you."
"She's my client. I'll go over now, and we'll catch up later."
Ava said, "Alright, you go ahead."
Mia walked over to the woman. Ava and Bishop also left the restaurant.
Mia sat across from Mandy. "Sorry, I just ran into someone I know."
"No problem," Mandy said kindly.
The waiter handed over the menu.
Mia asked, "What would you like to eat?"
After Mia and Mandy finished their dinner, they left the restaurant.
Mandy had drunk half a bottle of red wine and seemed a bit tipsy. She asked, "My head is spinning, I can't drive. Can you take me home?"
"Of course."
Mia initially thought of finding a driver for her, but since Mandy asked her to take her home, she couldn't refuse.
After all, Mandy was a top diamond client at the bank.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome." Mia helped Mandy into the car.
Mandy sat in the passenger seat, looking a bit drowsy.
"What's your address? I'll set the GPS."
"No need. I know the way. Just go straight and turn left at the next intersection."
"Alright then." Mia drove according to her instructions.
Then Mandy spoke up, "Ms. Thompson, who was that young woman we met at the restaurant?"
Mia said, "She's my son's ex-wife."
"They divorced?"
Mia responded affirmatively.
Mandy continued to ask, "Whose child is that?"
"She had the child with her current husband." Mia couldn't tell Mandy everything. After all, Mandy was just her client.
"Oh, I see. It looks like you maintain a good relationship."
Mia said, "Yes, it's quite good."
"You're someone who values old relationships."
Hearing Mandy's words, Mia wanted to say she wasn't nostalgic people, but there was no need to argue, so she said, "A little bit, I guess."
