Chapter 649 Don't Call the Police
It was Alexander's wedding day, and he had booked an entire luxury hotel for the wedding.
Guests streamed into the hotel in a continuous flow to attend the wedding.
Alexander stood silently in front of the mirror, gazing at his own face. He appeared haggard and pale, not at all like a groom, but more like a patient.
Though it was meant to be a day of great joy, but it felt like a funeral for him.
After the stylist finished fixing his hair and left, Alexander sat alone in front of the mirror, staring blankly. He took out his phone from his pocket and looked through photos of Ava carefully.
After today, he would be a married man and could no longer love her without restraint.
In the bridal dressing room, Isabella was in a white wedding gown, her neck adorned with exquisite jewelry. As she gazed at her reflection in the mirror, she was glowing, her smile dazzling.
"Harper, look, am I pretty?"
Harper glanced at her and replied, "Yes."
In truth, there was a follow-up. "What use is being pretty?
But Isabella only cared about the first half, and that was enough for her.
"From now on, call me Mrs. Mitchell. I hope to get along well with the Harrington family. No matter how much you hate me, remember, I am a Harrington, and my relationship with Alexander ain't gonna hurt the Harrington family."
Seated in a chair, Harper glanced at her. From Harper's point of view, Isabella's smug face was akin to someone who was borrowing power to show off.
Isabella checked the time; it was almost time to walk down the aisle.
She lifted her wedding dress and stood up. "I'm going to find Alex."
Alexander had just opened the door to leave when his assistant approached him head-on. "Mr. Mitchell, there's a woman who says she's Ms. Anderson's aunt. She says it's urgent and related to Ms. Anderson."
Alexander frowned slightly.
As for Ava's aunt, he had heard a bit about her. He knew she wasn't a good person. Was she here for money at this critical moment?
"Mr. Mitchell, do you want to see her? Or should I have someone send her away?"
When he thought about what Evelyn had done to Ava before, he harbored no good feelings towards her. But since she came today, it must be related to Ava. After thinking for a moment, he said, "Let her come over."
Soon, Evelyn came over, wearing a mask and walking with a limp.
Alexander looked her up and down, asking, "What do you want? If it's money, I suggest you look elsewhere."
Evelyn immediately took off her mask, revealing a face full of bruises and swelling.
Alexander frowned. "What happened to you?"
Evelyn blurted out, "Ava has been kidnapped. You need to save her quickly."
"What?" Alexander's brows furrowed. "Who kidnapped her? How do you know it?"
"Don't worry about that now. The top priority now is her safety. I know who they are. I can give you their names and information. Send someone to save Ava quickly."
The news came as too much of a shock to Alexander, and he was unsure if it was true. But since it involved Ava, he took it very seriously, regardless of the its authenticity.
"When was she kidnapped?" Alexander asked.
"Last night," Evelyn replied.
"What? Last night?" Alexander said angrily, "Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
"I... I..." Evelyn was so scared that she kept retreating. She quickly took out a piece of paper from her pocket and handed it to him. "This is information about the kidnappers. And, whatever you do, don't get the cops involved. If you do, they will definitely kill her. No cops, okay?"
After saying this, Evelyn opened the door and ran out.
