Chapter 1121 Belonging to Each Other
"Friends?" Ava said, "Grandma, they..."
"Ava," Alexander interrupted her, giving her a look, "They are your friends. You brought them over to introduce them to Grandma."
Ava immediately understood. She nodded and said to Scarlett, "Grandma, they are indeed my friends. I brought them over to meet you and liven things up. It's nice to have everyone together."
Scarlett said, "Alright, as long as they are your friends. At first, I thought they were Alexander's friends. I was wondering why Alexander suddenly had two female friends and brought them home. That's not good."
Ava lowered her head slightly, a hint of an awkward smile on her lips.
"Grandma, they are my friends. You don't need to worry."
"That's good. Alexander," Scarlett reminded, "Even though they are Ava's friends, you should still keep your distance. After all, they are girls, and you are a married man with children. You can't be flirting with other women. Especially that, what's her name, Madison. Stay away from her. The way she looks at you is not right. People might think there's something between you two."
Alexander felt particularly guilty and could only muster a forced smile, "I understand, Grandma."
"And you, Ava," Scarlett also reminded, "Even though they are your friends, you need to be careful, understand?"
"I understand, Grandma." Ava could only try to appease her.
If she told Scarlett now that Madison was Alexander's girlfriend and that she and Alexander were already divorced, Scarlett would go crazy.
Even though they were all lies, Scarlett was happy. In her world, as long as everything seemed real, it was enough.
Time passed quickly, and before they knew it, it was evening, and the kitchen had started preparing dinner.
Scarlett had been with Sunny the whole time, and they got along very well. Sunny was also very well-behaved.
Madison and Emily felt like outsiders here. Every time Madison saw Ava and Alexander so close, she was insanely jealous but could only hold it in.
Finally, she saw Alexander come out alone and quickly followed him.
"Alexander."
Alexander stopped and turned around, "What's up?"
"Alexander," she stepped forward and gently held his hand, "I know about Grandma's condition, so I won't be angry. But can I make a small request?"
"What request?"
"Can you not ignore me? It makes me feel like you and Ava have reconciled, and I'm just an outsider."
Alexander quietly withdrew his hand, "Madison, if you feel uncomfortable, I can send you back. Out of sight, out of mind. Now that Grandma is finally a bit clearer, I have to prioritize her. You might not be happy staying here."
Madison was shocked and quickly said, "I didn't mean that, Alexander. I want to stay here. Please don't send me away."
If she left, it would give Alexander and Ava a chance to get closer. She didn't want that.
Seeing Madison's tearful eyes, Alexander said, "If you don't want to leave, you can stay for a few days. But in Grandma's mind, you are Ava's friend, so don't say too much and don't get too close to me. If Grandma sees it, she will be unhappy."
"I understand, I will." Madison carefully hooked his pinky finger, "As long as we know our relationship, that's enough. In front of others, I'll keep my distance, but privately, we are still together, right?"
Just then, Ava came out and saw the intimate gesture between Alexander and Madison.
