Chapter 873 Stay for Two Months
Ava wondered, 'What's the deal with Madison and Alexander? Why are they all up in each other's business?'
Alexander had his arm around Madison's waist and said, "Well, look who it is—my ex-wife, her new hubby, and their kid."
Ava's heart sank hearing that.
She thought, "What does he mean by 'their kid'?"
She was fuming and heartbroken.
Alexander didn't even want his own kid; he was practically handing Sunny over to William!
William, holding Sunny close, said, "Yeah, small world, huh? We just came out for dinner and didn't expect to see you two. What's your deal with Ms. Allen?"
"She's my girlfriend," Alexander said with a cool smile, looking all calm like he wasn't just shocked a minute ago.
Madison's heart was racing. Even though she knew Alexander was faking it, hearing him call her his girlfriend made her feel all kinds of excited.
She felt like she and Alexander were getting closer, which was a big deal for her.
The word "girlfriend" hit Ava like a ton of bricks.
Ava thought, "Alexander has a girlfriend? Since when?"
Was it when Mia mentioned a few months back that Alexander was seeing someone? It must've been Madison, who looked all sweet and charming.
She looked fragile, kinda like Isabella.
Guess Alexander had a type.
"So, you got a girlfriend now," William said with a grin. "Good for you. Everyone's moving on. What brings you to Stellaria?"
Madison could tell Alexander was acting normal, but he was gripping her so tight it almost hurt.
He was barely holding it together, ready to snap.
Madison leaned into him, rubbing his back to calm him down.
The sudden closeness made Alexander a bit uneasy. He wanted to push her away but remembered he was the one who started it, so he didn't.
If he pushed her away now, they'd see right through his act, and he'd look like a fool in front of Ava and lose all his pride.
Even if he had no pride left with Ava, he couldn't lose it in front of William.
"Madison wanted to travel, so I tagged along. Didn't expect to bump into you guys," Alexander said.
Ava's heart shattered.
So he didn't come all this way for her; he was just on a trip with his new girl and ran into them by chance.
Ava thought, 'Is it really just a coincidence?'
If it was, then Alexander had given everything to another woman, leaving her with nothing.
He never traveled with her; he lied about going abroad to be with Isabella, and now he's with Madison.
Ava was more and more disappointed in Alexander.
She thought, 'So this is the love you always talked about?'
It was laughable.
He held Madison so close.
Madison leaned into him like a delicate bird; they looked head over heels.
And Madison's eyes showed she was totally in love with Alexander.
William gently held Ava's waist. Just as he was about to say something, Ava cut in, "That's awesome. Stellaria's got a lot of cool spots. You should take your time and enjoy it with your girlfriend, stay for two months."
