Chapter 963 Reaping What He Had Sown

Ava's brow furrowed. "He hit you?"

She turned to Alexander, "Did you hit him again?"

This wasn't their first fight. Ava had grown numb to it. Knowing Alexander had punched William and swollen his face, she wasn't as upset anymore.

Alexander knew Ava would blame him again.

"Yeah, I hit him, but I had my reasons," Alexander said.

"What reason could you possibly have?" William jumped in. "Ava, I was really worried about you. Even though you called me, I felt something was off and couldn't relax, so I went looking for you. I thought Alexander might've done something to you, so I found him, and then he hit me."

No matter what, Alexander had hit William. The bruises on his body and face were real. As for William bringing a bunch of armed guys into Alexander's house and pointing a gun at his head, who would know if he didn't spill the beans?

Even if Alexander said something, what could he do if William denied it?

Alexander watched William twist the story. The guy was really sneaky.

After hearing William, Ava's brow furrowed even more.

"William, I told you I was fine. Why did you still go looking for Alexander?" she asked.

William's heart skipped a beat.

What was going on with Ava?

This shouldn't be her first reaction after hearing Alexander hit him.

Ava should be mad at Alexander for hitting him, maybe even slap Alexander to defend him.

But why was Ava calmly questioning him?

Alexander hadn't expected this reaction from Ava either.

Ava kept her eyes on William and said, "I made it clear on the phone that I'd be back in a week. You said okay, but then you went to find Alexander. Alexander also thought something had happened to me, and you two ended up causing a huge mess at Vincent's place and almost got him killed. William, what should I say to you?"

Could William really be a two-faced person?

William looked at her in disbelief. "Ava, I was worried about you. On the phone, you kept delaying your return, so I got suspicious."

"If you were suspicious, you could've questioned me," Ava interrupted. "You could've even gotten mad at me on the phone, and that would've been fine. But why did you say everything was okay while doing this behind my back? If you hadn't gone to find Alexander, I'd already be home by now. Vincent would be fine, uninjured, and none of this craziness would've happened. If you hadn't said anything, I wouldn't have known it was all your fault!"

If they had done nothing, everything would've been over, like nothing happened. She would've continued living as before. But now, with all this chaos, her heart couldn't find peace.

William never expected Ava to blame him like this.

He had been hit by Alexander, his face swollen, yet she hadn't blamed Alexander at all and kept questioning him instead.

William felt like he had reaped what he had sown.

Had Ava changed?

Who had changed her?

Just a Vincent, who was he? Why was his impact even greater than Alexander's?
