Chapter 468 Out of Control

William pulled open the car door, just about to get in, when the man behind him remarked, "Such a perfect gentleman, I feel my heart stirring. Take care on the road."

Upon hearing this, William thought back to the unsettling mention of "death" by the eccentric individual. Furrowing his brow, he felt a sense of unease crept over him. Nonetheless, he proceeded to board the car and drive away.

On the way, he wanted to call Ava but found her phone was off, probably out of battery.

He put his phone aside and drove back in the direction he came from.

He wanted to find Ava, to explain things clearly.

He wanted to tell her he loved her, that he could wait for her forever. He just didn't want to keep it all inside anymore!

Suddenly, William noticed many blurry images in front of his eyes, becoming more and more chaotic.

A strong dizziness hit his brain, and he immediately parked the car on the side of the road, holding his forehead and shaking his head vigorously.

What happened to him?

Just a few drinks won't make him drunk like this.

Suddenly, a figure flashed past the car window.

With a bang, the car window glass was smashed hard.

The glass shards fell on him.

William's vision darkened, and he weakly collapsed on the driver's seat, without any strength.

His eyes slightly open, he saw the car door being opened, a man standing outside, the same one from the bar just now.

He leaned into the car, unbuckling William's seat belt.

Before completely fainting, a voice sounded in William's ears.

"There's nothing in this world that I can't control!"

"Don't worry, I'll take care of my sister."

The voice in the last sentence was completely different from the previous voice which was mature and deep.

The last sentence sounded like a young boy's voice.

The term "sister" was so familiar. He seemed to have heard someone call Ava that way.

Right, it was that person named Eason.

But why did this man look different from Eason?

Since he could change his voice, he must also be able to disguise himself.

William desperately tried to open his eyes, leave this place, and tell Ava that the person named Eason was dangerous.

However, his brain was out of control, chaotic and unruly.

'Ava, will I ever see you again?' This was the last thought echoing in his mind before his eyes fluttered shut helplessly.

Alexander came out of the police station when it was almost dark.

After shaking hands with the lawyer, he let the lawyer leave first.

"Alexander." Mia hurried over to him.

She rushed over as soon as she received the call, thinking she needed to bail him out. However, she didn't expect him to come out on his own.

"Alexander, what happened? How did it turn out like this?"

Alexander looked blankly, lowering his head, silent and despondent, absent-minded.

Mia walked up, holding his arm, gently patting his back. "What happened? You can trust me. Your dad and grandma don't know about this yet. Since you contact me, it shows that you trust me. If you don't say anything, how can I help you?"

Alexander smiled bitterly. "Mom, no one can help me now."

"Why do you say that?"

"Because..." Alexander clenched his fists. "Ava wants me to go to jail."

He roughly explained the situation to Mia.

After listening, Mia fell into silence.

The situation had completely spiraled out of control. Mia didn't know what to say.

Seeing the injuries on Alexander's face, she knew he must have fought with William. It was no suprise that he fell under suspicion, as William's accident happened on the same day they had a fight.

Due to a lack of concrete evidence, Alexander could leave the police station. However, he couldn't leave the city at the moment. He had to be available for investigation at any time.

Seeing Alexander's despondent and absent-minded demeanor, Mia worried that something untoward might happen to him outside. Therefore, she took him in the car and left.
