Chapter 1072 Sign the Divorce Agreement
If the Smith family knew that William had no blood relation with them, they would be even more ruthless in dealing with him.
At least Hailey hasn't revealed this yet; it was best to keep it a secret.
Brandon asked, "What's going on between you and her? Don't tell me there's still love between you two."
"So you're determined to interfere in my business with Mia?" Dalton asked coldly.
"Dalton, my patience is running thin. I'll say this once. If you harass her again, I won't be so slow to remind you next time. You'll end up back where you started, and you might even end up in jail."
The atmosphere between the two was tense, with Dalton clenching his fists, his brows furrowed in anger.
He spoke up, "You do know she has a husband, right? Are you interested in a married woman?"
Brandon asked, "Do you want to stay here and keep questioning me about Mia, or are you going to get back to the office and handle your business? You only get one chance."
Dalton stood up angrily and said, "Mr. Smith, you're something else. I didn't expect you to be like this."
With that, Dalton turned and left in anger.
After he left, Brandon picked up his phone and dialed a number. "Keep an eye on him for the next few days and see if he's really behaving."
In the café, Ava and William sat across from each other. She handed him a divorce agreement.
"William, sign this, and then we can go to court to finalize the divorce."
William looked at the divorce agreement in front of him, feeling like his heart was splitting in two.
He was very happy that Ava had contacted him today to meet, but he didn't expect her to hand him a divorce agreement as soon as they met. She actually wanted to divorce him.
"Ava, can we not get divorced? I promise I won't see Alexander again. I swear I will never..."
"William," Ava interrupted him. "I don't care what you do in the future. But I can't get over what you did before. Please sign the divorce agreement. If you sign it, we can still be friends. Otherwise, I'll sue, and things will get ugly. I don't want it to come to that."
William clenched his fists. "There's no chance of reconciliation, is there?"
Ava nodded. "No."
"What about Sunny?"
"Sunny is mine. I'll take good care of him. I appreciate all you've done for him, but it's time to end our marriage."
"But I really consider him my own child. Now you're saying it's over. What about me? Even though Sunny and I aren't related by blood, I'm still his father. Do you think it's fair to treat me like this?"
Avoiding William's sorrowful gaze, Ava said, "He's not your child after all. You'll find a good girl and have a lovely child together."
"So, you're saying I should throw away all the feelings for Sunny? Ava, you're really cruel!"
He was truly heartbroken.
"I'm sorry, William."
"I don't want your apology. I want to stay with you and Sunny."
"That's not possible anymore," Ava said, trying to stay composed. "William, sign the papers. Don't make things difficult for me."
