Chapter 419 Open-minded
Was this the business alliance that Dalton was so proud of?
Was it worth it to sacrifice one's happiness for the sake of profit? What kind of future could be built on such a foundation?
If humanity continued to propagate in this manner, the future of our morality could be unimaginable.
"Ava, what's wrong? Why are you so quiet?" Vicky noticed Ava's distraction.
Ava snapped back to reality. "I just don't know what to say. I'm really worried about your brother. He said he agreed to his father's wishes and is going to marry another woman."
"Yes, he came home today. The woman he's going to marry is practically a stranger. They've only met a couple of times when they were kids."
"Do you know anything about her?" Ava asked.
"Well, I've heard some rumors," Vicky replied.
"What rumors?" Ava inquired further.
"Let me put it this way," Vicky said, "I happen to know where she is tonight. How about I take you to see her in person? Seeing is believing, after all."
"The two of us?" Ava hesitated.
"Vicky, are you sure I should go too?"
"What's the matter? Aren't you curious to see what my brother's future wife is like?" Vicky teased.
Ava said, "It's not that I don't want to. I just wonder if it's appropriate."
"Come on, Ava, why are you worried about what's appropriate now? Is it appropriate for my dad to force my brother to get married?"
Ava nodded in agreement. "Alright, I'll go with you to meet her. Just introduce me as your friend, and don't tell anyone that I'm friends with William."
"Okay, it's settled then."
After their conversation, they hung up their phones.
It was already late, and Vicky drove Ava to the entrance of an exclusive social club.
Only the children of the wealthy and powerful could afford to come here.
The club offered a wide range of services.
Vicky was a regular here, often coming with a group of friends.
She held Ava's hand as they entered the club and whispered, "I'm not familiar with the girl my brother is going to marry, either. All I know is that her name is Samantha, and she's quite sexually open-minded, having had many boyfriends."
Ava nodded and said, "With her background, she's had everything she wanted since she was young, so it's normal for her to be like that."
Ava couldn't judge what kind of person Samantha was just based on this remark.
It wasn't fair to judge someone based on their lifestyle or the number of boyfriends they've had.
Vicky said, "Ava, you might have misunderstood what I meant by being sexually liberal. It may not be what you think."
Ava looked puzzled and asked, "What do you mean?"
As they spoke, they had already reached a private room.
Vicky had informed Samantha in advance about her visit. After all, Vicky was Samantha's future husband's sister, so it was normal for her to meet Samantha here.
As the door opened, Ava saw the luxurious decoration, the dim and secretive lighting, the smell of tobacco and alcohol filling the space, and the sound of laughter and music coming from inside.
Ava saw both men and women in the private room, and it was obvious that the men were the club's male hosts, exclusivelycatering to these socialites.
The wealthy women sat on their laps, enjoying their intimate service, playing games, flirting, and causing a commotion. There was even a man being pushed onto the sofa, his shirt unbuttoned, while the women explored his body.
The male hosts seemed to be enjoying themselves.
