Chapter 1239 You Like Him

"Sure, you love to eat whatever I make." Eason picked up Sunny and held her in his arms. "Baby, did you miss me?"

Sunny suddenly raised her hand and slapped Eason's face, looking very disdainful, as if she wanted to push him away.

Eason frowned, "Why did you hit me? Just because you're little, you think you can bully people?"

Sunny laughed and hit him again.

"Sunny, what are you doing?" Ava walked over. "You can't hit people, that's not good."

He's not even a year old and already hitting people, what will he be like when he grows up?

"I think Sunny likes me. The closer someone is, the bolder they get. It's okay, let him hit me a few more times." Eason didn't mind at all. After all, Sunny was just a little baby. What was there to be afraid of? Could she eat him?

Eason lifted Sunny high, and Sunny laughed happily.

Ava said, "You two play together, I'll go handle these vegetables."

Eason looked around. "Ava, where did that person go?"

Ava instantly understood who Eason was talking about. "He had something to do, so he left."

"Really? But Ava, how did you meet that person? He looks so scary, doesn't seem like a good person."

"He's a friend I met at Stellaria. He's a very good person, not like what you see on the surface."

"Oh, I see." Eason rolled his eyes. "It seems you quite like him."

Whether this was a casual remark or a deliberate question, Ava's heart skipped a beat. She quickly carried the bag to the kitchen and said, "We're just friends. He's good to me, and I'm good to him. Aren't I also good to you, kid?"

"So, you're good to him just as a friend, right?"

"Of course." Ava said, "You're all my friends, and I treat you all the same."

"But Ava," Eason said pitifully, "I want you to favor me. You know I like you, I'm not joking."

Eason had mentioned this before, but Ava didn't take it seriously. After all, Eason was a few years younger than her, like a big boy. Ava didn't take it seriously.

Being with Eason didn't make her feel as oppressed and uncomfortable as being with William or Alexander, who always looked at her with such intense and sorrowful eyes that she felt a bit stifled.

But when Eason said he liked her, Ava didn't feel as oppressed. Maybe it was because she could dismiss Eason like a child. In Ava's heart, Eason was a younger brother, a big boy.

Ava said, "Let's talk about it in a few years. You're still young. By then, you might meet someone your age and not like me anymore."

"That's not true. I've met plenty of people my age. Don't always think I'm joking, okay? I'm serious, and you're not that much older than me."

Whether intentional or not, Eason's tone was coquettish, making his serious words sound like a joke.

"Eason," Ava's face was particularly serious, "I'm serious too. Don't say things like that anymore. You know my situation. I see you as a brother. Don't ruin our sibling relationship, okay?"

Eason pouted, "Alright, I won't say it anymore. Don't be mad. I'll help you with Sunny. I'll take Sunny to play for a while."

If they continued, Ava would get angry.

"Go ahead." Ava wasn't angry with him.
