Chapter 1165 I'll Be Good
While eating, William's eyes were filled with affection. "Ava, you need to eat more. Look at you, you've lost so much weight. You look better with some meat on your bones."
Even if Ava were chubby, he would still like her.
Ava silently watched them.
Bishop, without saying a word, went to the kitchen and brought Ava some more soup, placing it in front of her. "Eat up."
"Thank you," Ava said quietly, then continued eating.
William and Eason didn't dare to act up anymore. Their gazes inadvertently fell on Bishop, and they were startled to realize that Bishop was the most cunning of them all.
After dinner, the three men divided the tasks and washed all the dishes.
Although there was a dishwasher, they didn't use it.
"Bishop, you were something today. Without saying a word, you made Eason and me look unreasonable."
William spoke coldly to Bishop while washing the dishes.
Bishop, drying the plates beside him, replied indifferently, "You two act like immature kids. How is that my problem? If you can't handle it, don't blame others."
"You!" William almost dropped the plate in his hand, his anger surging.
But worried that Ava might come and blame him later, he swallowed his anger.
"Fine, we'll see."
Eason, watching the two of them at odds, had a barely noticeable smirk of satisfaction.
After they finished cleaning up, Ava came out holding Sunny and said, "William, Eason, thank you for coming to see me and having dinner with me. It's getting late, you should head back."
There were limited rooms here, and she couldn't let them all stay.
William and Eason exchanged a glance.
"Ava, we can stay and keep you company. I'm worried you'll feel sad alone here."
"I'm not alone. I have Sunny. Bishop will also stay here. You don't need to worry about me. Just go back."
Eason and William's gazes fell on Bishop, both showing a hint of jealousy.
"Why are you looking at him like that?" Ava said decisively. "He's staying here temporarily. Do you have a problem with that? If you want to stay, I'll give you my room, and I'll sleep on the couch or move out."
Ava didn't want to speak nicely to them anymore. When she did, they didn't listen, so she had to be stern.
Two grown men, acting like elementary school kids, bickering and fighting.
"No, Ava, I didn't mean that. Since it's late, you should rest. I'll head back and see you tomorrow."
William didn't want to ruin his image in Ava's eyes. It had taken a lot to regain some of her trust after what had happened before.
Eason quickly added, "Ava, I'll come see you tomorrow too."
"No need. You don't have to come all the time. I have my own things to do."
Ava's tone was serious. She wasn't being polite; she genuinely didn't want them visiting every day. If she agreed, they would definitely come every day.
Though they had their complaints, since Ava had said so, they couldn't insist. It would only make her unhappy.
Ava saw them to the door. Watching William's back, she seemed to remember something and called out, "William."
"What is it?" William immediately turned around.
Ava had something on her mind to ask him, but considering the current situation, she said, "Be careful on your way back. Don't argue or fight, even if it's for my sake."
"Okay, Ava, I won't argue with him. I'll be good," Eason said, looking very obedient.
