Chapter 773 Should Have Divorced Long Ago

Mia left the hospital in a daze.

George had called her a bunch of times, but she ignored him, crying in the car.

Finally, the nonstop ringing got to her. She picked up and yelled, "George, stop calling! Let's start the divorce tomorrow!"

She threw the phone onto the seat.

This marriage was over.

Dalton had raped her, and she found out William was her son.

Their relationship was a mess, and staying with George would only make things worse.

Divorcing George was the best option.

But even after the divorce, she wouldn't be with Dalton. She just wanted to simplify things.

She should've divorced George long ago, but he kept dragging it out.

She resented George for cheating and how he treated her.

Yet, she often thought about when she first met George over twenty years ago.

"Stay away from me!"

Mia was cornered by a group of thugs.

Her whole body trembled, her heart pounding against her ribs, her breath coming in ragged gasps. Her lips quivered slightly, and her eyes were wide with terror and helplessness.

She felt out of control, like the world was distorting. Horrifying images filled her mind, making it hard to think or react.

She wanted to escape, but there was no way out.

"Mia, you've been neglecting us. Regret now? Scared?"

Mia was a well-known beauty in college, always aloof and indifferent to men.

She tried to run but was pinned against the wall by several guys.

"We're gonna teach you a lesson today. Let's see if you're still so arrogant!"

They tore her clothes and pinned her against the wall, groping her roughly.

Mia closed her eyes in pain, struggling desperately. "Let me go! Help!"

"Do you guys have a death wish?" A cold male voice suddenly sounded behind them.

The thugs turned and saw a tall figure in the alley.

"Who are you? Mind your own business and get lost!"

"I'm definitely getting involved." George sneered as he approached.

Mia's eyes widened. This man seemed very tall, towering over the thugs, giving her a sense of security.

The thugs rushed at him, but George easily knocked them down.

They struggled to get up and ran away.

George was about to chase them when Mia collapsed.

He quickly rushed over and held her. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

He saw her disheveled appearance, her pants unbuttoned but not removed.

Luckily, he had arrived in time.

He had heard the screams and rushed over.

Mia shook her head. "I'm fine, thank you."

She looked at him, his face chiseled with determination and courage, his eyes sharp and bright.

Suddenly, Mia fainted.

"Miss, wake up."
