Chapter 962 Right or Wrong

"Ava, if I tell you..." Alexander started, his voice shaky.

"Ava!" William rushed over, his face full of concern. "Are you okay?"

Alexander took a deep breath, his fists clenched tight.

William again? This guy was like a bad penny.

"I'm fine, you don't need to worry," Ava said firmly. "Since both of you are here, let's get something straight. Vincent saved my life, and neither of you are allowed to harm him. If you do, it's like hurting me, and I won't forgive you."

Ava had never been this serious with them before, face to face.

Alexander and William were both taken aback by her stern warning.

While they were busy fighting each other, Vincent had swooped into Ava's life, saved her, and earned her trust.

How did this even happen?

William quickly said, "Ava, don't worry, I won't harm Vincent. If he's your savior, he's my savior too. After all, you're my wife and the mother of my child."

Ava's eyes then shifted to Alexander.

Alexander sighed and said, "If I wanted to harm him, his surgery wouldn't have been successful. You can trust me on this."

With both of them giving their assurances, the room fell into an awkward silence.

Ava looked from Alexander to William.

Thinking about last night, she was still mad, but that anger was starting to fade.

Last night, she was really driven up the wall by Alexander and William.

She even thought about giving them a piece of her mind after Vincent's surgery, just to make them realize their mistakes.

But after a night's rest, seeing them now with their heads down, looking ashamed, her anger had cooled.

After calming down and thinking it over, she realized they had rushed to save her, thinking she was in danger. That's why they acted so crazy.

Who could have guessed that someone as intimidating as Vincent would end up saving her? William and Alexander certainly wouldn't have.

If Vincent had been a bad guy, their actions would have been justified. But since he wasn't, they ended up being wrong.

They were wrong, but not entirely.

"Ava, I'm really sorry. I messed up last night. I promise it won't happen again," William said, trying to be the first to admit his mistake. Whether he'd actually change, who knew?

"Vincent's surgery is over, and he made it. I don't want to dwell on this anymore. Right or wrong, it doesn't matter now. Let's just end it here. I need to clarify some things, and I hope you'll be honest with me," Ava said.

"What things?" William asked immediately.

Ava stared at him. "How did you get hurt?"

The injuries looked fresh.

She noticed them when William came in yesterday, but with Vincent's condition being urgent, she didn't have time to ask. Now she did.

William touched his face, then shot a cold glance at Alexander. "He hit me."
