Chapter 824 He Is Willing to Wait
She wanted to name her baby ASAP.
She'd promised William he could pick the name, and she couldn't go back on her word.
She might not have had much to give, but he was always there for her, even during childbirth.
Ava felt guilty, so letting William name the baby was the least she could do.
William said, "I've got a name in mind. How about Sunny?"
"Sunny." Ava glanced out the window when she heard it.
It was morning, and the sunlight was super bright, lighting up everything. The wind gently moved the treetops, and the light through the leaves danced in her eyes.
What a beautiful morning. It felt like a fresh start, and for a moment, all her worries disappeared.
Ava looked at the baby in her arms, gently stroking his tiny face, tears welling up in her eyes.
"What's wrong, Ava?" William asked quickly, "Don't you like the name? I can think of more."
William felt a bit panicked. Seeing Ava cry always broke his heart. He feared her tears were because of him.
Ava quickly said, "No, William, the name is perfect."
Then, she said to the baby, "From now on, your name is Sunny."
Ava looked exhausted, but when she saw the baby, her eyes shone with deep love.
Hearing Ava accept the name, William felt a surge of joy and smiled.
Suddenly, William remembered something and asked, "Ava, what last name will the baby have?"
He wanted to ask if the baby could have his last name but worried it might upset Ava. So, he played it safe.
It didn't matter what last name the baby had, as long as it wasn't Alexander's.
Hearing this, Ava looked at the baby again.
She was divorced from Alexander, so it didn't seem right for the baby to have his last name.
But the baby couldn't have William's last name either since he wasn't the father.
"The baby will have my last name, Anderson. From now on, he's Sunny Anderson."
William silently sighed in relief.
As long as the baby didn't have Alexander's last name, it was fine.
But he really wanted the baby to share his last name.
Having the baby take Ava's last name was a compromise he could live with. Ava had gone through so much to have the baby.
No matter the last name, they were already a family, and no one could tear them apart.
William sat by the bed, gently brushing aside Ava's hair.
"Yeah, it's right for the baby to have your last name. You went through so much to have him; he should have your name."
William gently held Ava's hand and kissed it, "Ava, if you want, our future kids can have your last name too."
Ava's smile froze a bit when she heard that.
She looked up, shocked.
She thought, 'Our kids?'
Ava suddenly felt nervous.
She forced a smile, feeling awkward and unsure what to say.
William realized he might've said too much. Feeling sad, he tried to joke, "I was just kidding, don't take it seriously."
He thought, 'Has Ava never thought about a future with me?'
She wouldn't divorce him, but she had no desire to be a real couple.
He couldn't imagine them never being intimate.
They were still young, with a long future ahead. Thinking about this, William's heart ached.
He was a man with needs.
No, they'd definitely have a chance. Ava had just given birth, and he couldn't rush things. He'd wait until she recovered.
She'd just given birth and had a seizure. The doctor said it was due to stress and that she needed rest.
William considered himself a patient man.
He wasn't in a hurry; he was willing to wait.
He had married Ava, and she had agreed to stay in the marriage. He was sure he could wait for Ava to be ready for intimacy.
