Chapter 984 Foul Words
Ava's face went ice-cold in an instant. She didn't even bother with basic politeness and snapped, "To avoid a fight, just leave already."
She wasn't in the mood to argue with Madison. It was clear Madison had the wrong idea and was full of arrogance and prejudice. Ava figured there was no point in talking to her.
"This is a public place. What's wrong with me standing here? Feeling guilty, Mrs. Bennett?" Madison sneered, putting extra emphasis on "Mrs. Bennett." "You've got a husband, but you're still clinging to your ex, playing the missing act. You're quite the actress."
Ava cut her off, "Madison, stop with the nonsense. Do you even know what really happened? You're just talking out of your ass. Honestly, you're so shallow."
"Shallow? Really?" Madison laughed. "Mrs. Bennett, even if I'm shallow, I'm still better than you. You're shamelessly hanging onto someone else's boyfriend. I've already got his kid, and you still have no shame."
"Madison, can you have some decency?" Ava shot back.
"Me, no decency? I think it's you who has no decency." Madison's fists clenched, her face losing all its previous gentleness, replaced with pure hatred. "Ava, you did everything to get Alexander, even faking your disappearance to make him look for you. But guess what? You failed. This time, your plan backfired. You've only made Alexander cherish me more. Want me to tell you what fun things Alexander and I did last night?"
Madison's hand brushed the corner of her mouth. "He really likes it when I use this."
She continued, smugly, "And his fingers are so long. I especially love that. Every time, I lose myself, not to mention other ways."
Ava felt her stomach churn. She didn't want to hear these details; it was revolting. "Really? Seems like you enjoy it. Then go ahead, keep at it. Just don't flaunt it in front of me. Don't you feel any shame talking about this stuff?"
Madison sneered, "What's there to be ashamed of? For a woman as loose as you, isn't this normal? A promiscuous woman like you, messing around with so many men, haven't you been played by plenty?"
Ava slapped her hard. "Aren't you disgusting?"
Madison fell to the ground, tears streaming down her face. "I'm sorry, Mrs. Bennett. I didn't mean to come here. I just accidentally went to the wrong place. I didn't know you were here. If I had known, I definitely wouldn't have come."
Ava watched Madison's quick change in expression, like flipping a switch.
She didn't think the slap had knocked any sense into her. Nor did she believe Madison was genuinely scared.
Just a moment ago, she was so fierce. How did she suddenly change?
"Madison!" A voice called from behind. It was Alexander.
Ava immediately understood why Madison's expression had changed. It was all part of her plan.
Alexander's footsteps got closer and closer. He rushed over like a rocket, picked Madison up from the ground, and held her tightly in his arms. "Madison, are you okay?"
Madison covered her burning face, tears welling up as she looked at Alexander. "Alexander, I feel so bad. My face hurts so much. I don't understand what I did wrong to deserve this."
