Chapter 559 Living Badly
"Ava!" Alex gritted his teeth, almost roaring. "How dare you!"
The scene was too intense. He couldn't bear it.
"See if I dare or not. If you die, I will definitely do this. I will make sure you die with regrets, but it won't change the outcome! If you seek death, who can you blame?"
Ava's voice was stern.
"You..."
Alex struggled to raise his hand, pointing at her angrily. "You have a cruel heart. Do you have conscience at all?”
"I have a clear conscience. Anyway, since you're already dead, why should I feel guilty? Otherwise, I wouldn't have married William. With you gone, no one will disturb me and him. I will have three children with him, form a band, and sing at your grave every year."
After a few seconds, Ava seemed to hear Alex muttering a curse, but she couldn't make out the exact words. However, she could sense his anger.
Then, Alex struggled to get up from the ground.
He was back in the game like a king fully resurrected!
"You heartless woman, wanting me dead so you can live happily with William. I won't let you have your way! Let's go to the hospital!"
Alex's temper flared.
He knew that Ava was intentionally provoking him, yet he fell for it regardless. The mere thought of it was unbearable to him, even if it was feigned.
Seeing his stubborn demeanor, Ava found it amusing and felt the urge to tease him, but she hesitated, fearing his obstinate temper might prevent him from going to the hospital. Thus, she remained silent.
Alex, unsteady on his feet, struggled to maintain his balance. Pain drained the color from his face, and sweat poured down profusely, leaving him pallid.
Ava steadied his arm and said, "Let's go."
"Ava, I’ll obediently go to the hospital. Could you please refrain from being intimate with William?"
He lowered his head, whispering softly in her ear, cautiously inquiring.
Furrowing her brow once more, Ava responded, "Could you not make such absurd requests?"
Though she had no intention of being intimate with William, acquiescing to Alex would be a different matter.
Alex chuckled lightly. "Indeed, absurd. But for me, the thought of a month without you two doing anything is somewhat comforting."
Ava shot him a glance. "You're so lame."
His mind seemed preoccupied with thoughts of sexual matters.
"No help for that. I simply wish to savor the joy you bring alone."
Ava shook her head in resignation. Communication with Alex seemed impossible now. With many guests still present, the wedding was clearly at a standstill. To avoid trouble, she discreetly led Alex out through the back door.
Seeing Alex's deteriorating condition, a visit to the hospital was imperative. As Ava rushed him there, his breathing grew faint, and his pallid expression was alarming.
Fear gripped her as Alex seemed on the verge of passing out. With one hand firmly on the wheel, she gently nudged his shoulder with her free hand. "Alex, stay awake and talk to me."
In this situation, uncertain of what might transpire, her only recourse was to keep him conscious.
Alex weakly parted his lips.
"You didn’t want to engage with me just now, right?"
"Now, I’d like to talk. How have things been for you recently?"
Alex let out a faint hum. "What if I told you I haven’t been doing well?"
