Chapter 1103 Biological Father and Son
Two days later, George received the test results.
The DNA test showed that he and Eason were a biological father and son.
Upon receiving this result, George couldn't stand steady and collapsed into a chair, sitting dazedly in the hospital lobby, his mind spinning.
He held his forehead and leaned back weakly.
Eason was really his son, his and Cheryl's son.
He was already nineteen years old.
He never thought they would meet in such a way.
Since Cheryl was pregnant with his child, why didn't she tell him?
His attitude might have been bad at the time, but if she had insisted on telling him, he would have known. He wouldn't have irresponsibly abandoned them.
But Cheryl's stubborn nature led her not to tell him, making him seem irresponsible, like a jerk.
George's mind was in turmoil, but upon careful thought, he realized he was indeed a jerk.
He had caused all of this.
What should he do? Should he tell Eason that he was his father?
If Eason found out, would he be unable to accept it? Would he blame him for being absent all these years, not even knowing of his existence?
George, trembling, took out his phone and found Eason's number. He wanted to call him, to meet him, but looking at the paternity test in his hand, he couldn't muster the courage to dial.
He needed to think carefully about how to process this matter.
Since Eason was his son, he couldn't ignore him. He definitely needed to meet him. How to meet him, how to interact with him, and when to tell him were all important considerations. He couldn't just suddenly show up and say they were father and son.
He could spend some time with him first.
After brewing over it for more than ten minutes, George dialed Eason's number.
After more than twenty seconds, the call was finally answered, "Uncle George."
"Eason, are you busy right now?"
"I'm in the lab right now. Uncle George, do you need something?"
"Nothing much, I'd like to know if you're free at noon. We could have lunch together."
"I'm free. I can come out at noon. I'm not too busy this afternoon."
Hearing this, George breathed a sigh of relief, "That's good. I'll book a restaurant. You go ahead and work. I'll message you once I've booked the place."
"OK, no problem."
Eason's voice sounded cheerful and sunny.
George hung up the phone, clutching it tightly, closed his eyes, and lowered his head in pain.
No wonder he felt an instant connection with Eason when they first met; it turned out this was his child.
He never thought that besides Alexander, he had another child.
If Alexander and Mia found out, how could he face them?
But since this had already happened, there was no way around it. He would find a way to resolve it.
Having lived half his life, he couldn't keep running away.
At noon, George met with Eason.
They met at a Chinese restaurant.
Eason was carrying a backpack and dressed in denim. His tall and slim figure looked very energetic.
"Uncle George."
Seeing him, George immediately stood up from his seat, "Eason, you're here."
Eason glanced around, "Uncle George, you even booked a private room. It looks quite fancy."
"Inviting you to lunch, of course, I can't be perfunctory."
"You're treating me to lunch again? Uncle George, I wanted to treat you. Last time you already treated me."
"It's okay, from now on, I'll cover all the expenses."
He was now eager to make up for Eason.
