Chapter 822 Telepathy

Alexander said, "Madison, don't stress. You've got time. Follow the doctor's advice, and who knows? Maybe future tech will bring artificial hearts. Stay positive."

Madison felt a bit better hearing Alexander's comforting words.

Madison said, "Mr. Mitchell, I'm sorry for bothering you so late. I'm causing you so much trouble."

Alexander replied, "It's okay."

The rain outside was pouring heavily.

Alexander looked at the rain and sighed.

"Madison, do you believe in telepathy?"

"Telepathy?" Madison asked, confused. "Why bring that up? Do you think you have it with someone?"

Alexander took out his wallet and pulled out a photo of Ava.

He said, "I suddenly thought of my ex-wife and felt really sad, even had a stomachache."

Madison leaned against the headboard, looking puzzled. "Could it be that you miss her so much you're imagining things?"

Alexander sighed softly, "Maybe."

He put the photo back.

Madison's eyes dimmed.

Alexander turned to Madison, "You should rest."

Madison asked, "What about you?"

"I'll leave once you fall asleep. You go to sleep first." Alexander sat back down on the sofa.

He clutched his chest, feeling intense pain, as if his heart had been ripped out.

Suddenly, he stood up and rushed out of the ward.

Madison didn't have time to call out before Alexander disappeared.

She thought, 'Didn't he say he'd wait until I fell asleep? Why did he leave now?'

Mia was sleeping soundly when a knock on the door woke her up.

Startled, she quickly got out of bed.

She looked through the peephole and saw Alexander, drenched.

Mia hurriedly opened the door, "Alexander, why are you here so late?"

"Come in quickly." Mia pulled Alexander inside and closed the door.

She grabbed a towel and started drying Alexander's face and hair.

Mia said, "Why didn't you use an umbrella? You're soaked and it's cold. What if you get sick?"

Mia was very worried. "Take off your wet clothes. I'll find some dry ones for you."

Mia tried to pull Alexander towards the closet, but he stood still.

Mia asked, "What's wrong?"

Alexander said, "Where is Ava?"

Mia said, "What?"

Alexander suddenly became emotional and grabbed Mia's shoulders. "Mom, please tell me where Ava is, okay?"

He urgently wanted to know.

He didn't know why he felt so uneasy, always thinking something had happened to Ava.

"Why do you suddenly want to know where she is?" Mia stared at Alexander's distraught face, feeling uneasy, "Did something happen?"

Alexander replied, "You should be the one telling me that. Mom, did something happen to Ava? Tell me where she is now!"

Seeing Alexander's state, Mia felt very uneasy and worried.

Mia asked, "Alexander, everything is fine. Why are you suddenly bringing her up? Did she contact you?"

Alexander asked, "Why won't you tell me where she is?"

Mia said, "Alexander, I..."

"Where is she?" Alexander interrupted her, asking seriously.

Mia clutched the towel in her hand and said, "She's with William. Do you want to find her? I can give you the address, but what will you do once you get there?"

Gradually, Alexander released Mia and took a few steps back.

His eyes were filled with utter despair.

His heart ached terribly, an uncontrollable pain that almost pierced through his chest.

He clutched his aching chest and turned to leave.

"Alexander." Mia tried to stop him, but Alexander was in a hurry, and she couldn't.

Mia leaned weakly against the door, "Alexander, I'm sorry."
