Chapter 459 Protecting the Brother

Why was it so coincidental that just as William got into trouble, Isabella happened to urgently need a heart transplant, and it turned out that William's heart was a perfect match for her?

Could all of this be part of Alexander's plan?

Almost everyone had undergone medical check-ups, and the data was stored in the system. Would Alexander leverage his connections to conduct a thorough investigation to save Isabella, ultimately discovering that William was a suitable match?

However, since he was still alive, he could't be a donor.

So, did he resort to committing this dreadful act in order to save Isabella?

Alexander was despicable, yet not inherently evil. Ava hesitated to believe that Alexander could be so malicious. However, the harsh reality compelled her to consider this possibility.

All of this was just too coincidental.

One coincidence could be attributed to chance. However, when multiple coincidences converge, it might suggest a meticulously orchestrated scheme.

Even a good person could have done malicious things when their interests were at stake. Everyone had a dark side, and Isabella is the best reason for Alexander to do bad things.

Seeing the suspicion in Ava's eyes, Alexander felt puzzled and a bit uneasy. "Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked.

"Ava." A male voice sounded.

Eason ran over with a backpack slung over his shoulders. "Ava, what a coincidence running into you here. What's up? Why the long face?"

Upon hearing the voice, Ava turned her head and saw Eason standing in front of her. "Eason, what are you doing here?"

"I've been having trouble sleeping lately. I came to the hospital to get it checked out and to get some medication. Ava, what's wrong? Why are you crying so sadly?"

Eason saw Alexander beside Ava and suddenly understood something.

"Ava, is he bullying you again? Haven't you find a better husband? Where is he?"

"He..." Ava glanced at the ward, tears welling up in her eyes.

Through the window of the ward, Eason saw the person inside and exclaimed, "Ava, what happened to your husband?"

Ava started crying.

"Ava, don't cry." Eason approached and gently patted her back.

"Who are you?" Alexander immediately stepped forward and pushed him away. "Don't touch her."

Eason took several steps back and fell to the ground.

"Alexander, what are you doing?" When Ava moved to help Eason up, he resiliently rose to his feet on his own.

"I'm fine, Ava. Don't worry," he said politely and obediently.

Alexander sneered sarcastically.

He didn't use much force at all, yet this man still fell, clearly pretending.

Seeing Alexander's terrifying gaze, Eason trembled and hid behind Ava. "Ava, he's so fierce. You're lucky to have divorced him. He must have hit you often."

Eason's words, whether spoken in a moment of anger or deliberately, were through clenched teeth

Alexander was furious.

"Who do you think you are? How dare you speak ill of our marriage?"

He admitted to being a scoundrel. However, when accused of hitting Ava, he couldn't bear it. Such a heinous slander!
"Alexander, he's my friend. What gives you the right to lay hands on him?"

As Ava's words fell, Eason seemed frightened. He grasped Ava's arm, pressing close to her, head bowed, resembling a frightened puppy, pitiable in every aspect.

Though towering above Ava, at this moment, by her side, he appeared like a fragile little boy, his eyes filled with dread.

In this moment, instead of pulling away his hand, she drew him closer, like a sister protecting a brother.
