Chapter 1042 It Was Me Who Hit
After listening, Alexander's eyes were filled with surprise, and even a hint of joy. "Really? I got it, I'll be right there."
As soon as the call ended, Alexander immediately said, "They found a suitable heart, it's on its way to the hospital. Madison will have a new heart soon."
Alexander's tone was very excited when he said this, it was clear how happy he was.
Ava smiled faintly, "That's great, congratulations."
Regarding this matter, Ava wasn't particularly happy or sad, just neutral.
However, Madison getting a healthy heart was indeed a blessing in disguise, and for Alexander, it was fantastic news.
"Then you should go quickly," Ava said. "I need to go see Bishop."
Hearing "Bishop," Alexander's expression suddenly stiffened.
However, he didn't say much more. Madison's situation was urgent, so he turned and walked into the hospital.
Ava went to Bishop's room and said, "Bishop, I'm here again."
This time, Ava brought two books, both about finance. Bishop had mentioned wanting to read them last time, so she brought them for him.
Bishop liked it when Ava called him by that name.
He looked at her with gentle eyes, "Do you get tired of visiting me every day?"
"How could I?" Ava sat on the chair. "I don't get tired of it. Do you not want me to come? Do you find me annoying?"
Bishop shook his head, "Not at all."
Seeing her every day was wonderful, and knowing she was safe and sound.
Ava handed him the books, "These are the books I brought for you. You can read them when you have time. They're written in a novelistic way, professional yet interesting."
Bishop responded, "Thanks, this is exactly what I needed. It'll help pass the time."
Ava noticed a fruit basket on the bedside table.
She asked, "Did someone visit you today?"
Bishop replied, "Alexander came to see me."
"Alexander?" Ava thought of the injury on his face. Could it be that Bishop hit Alexander? But why would Bishop hit him?
Ava asked, "He came to see you, did you two have a fight?"
Hearing Ava's words, Bishop seemed to realize something, "Did you see the injury on his face? Yes, I hit him."
Ava's heart sank, "Why did you hit him? Did he say something to you? Or did he do something to you?"
Bishop thought of what Alexander had said, feeling annoyed, but Alexander did have a point.
Bishop smiled faintly, "It's nothing. He just came to see me and apologized. He was impulsive last time."
"Really? But you hit him. You can't have hit him just because he apologized." Ava felt there was more to it.
"I was angry," Bishop said. "Think about it, he blew up my house and shot at me. How could I not be angry? Hitting him was already lenient. If I weren't injured, I would have pinned him down and beaten him up."
Bishop spoke with righteous indignation, not feeling he did anything wrong.
Ava thought of the last incident. Alexander did blow up his house, and the scene was very dangerous. Bishop had tackled her to the ground; otherwise, she might have been injured too.
