Chapter 449 Resolving Difficulties and Easing Anxiety

It was late at night.

William, alone and devoid of reason, drove recklessly along the desolate and empty roads until he parked his car outside a remote bar, where numerous motorcycles were lined up.

Feeling annoyed and perplexed, William got out of the car and walked straight into the bar, intending to drink to dispel his agitation.

The patrons in the bar were stylishly clad, many sporting tattoos, exuding an air of aloofness.

William entered clad in a suit, bearing the semblance of a sophisticated gentleman, starkly out of place amidst the setting.

All eyes were on him.

William, with his nose in the air, sat at the bar and ordered a drink.
The bartender noted William consuming several glasses in succession.
"First time here, handsome? Feeling down?" The bartender inquired.
William lifted his gaze, coldly remarking, "Your duty is solely to provide the drinks."

The innate dignity and aloofness exuded by William sent a shiver down the bartender's spine.
Here, he had encountered his fair share of ruffians and thugs who often resorted to loud threats and violence, yet the aura emanating from the man before him was far more formidable than those rough and ruthless characters.
Empty vessels made the most noise. Truly fearsome individuals didn't need to boast to assert themselves.

"Hey." a tall, thin man sat down beside him.

William paid him no attention, focusing on his drink.

The man, instead of getting angry, smiled knowingly, "You clearly don't belong here. You should be at those upscale gatherings. Let me guess, why did you come here to drown your sorrows? With that injury on your face, it seems you were in a fight. After the altercation, you drove alone to this remote place. If my deduction is correct, it must be because of a woman, right?"
William, holding his glass of wine, paused slightly, then turned his head to give him a cold glance. "Leave."

"It seems my assumptions were accurate," the man chuckled lightly. He didn't leave but continued, "With your looks and physique, you must have many pursuers. Hence, I believe this particular woman must hold significant importance to you, one you cannot attain. Why would a man like you struggle to win over a woman? I gather that she loves someone else. However, that man has hurt her, leaving you feeling indignant for her, hence the fight."
William forcefully slammed his glass on the bar counter. "Who are you really?"
The man smiled faintly. " I am just curious. I believe I can help you resolve difficulties and ease anxiety because I understand what women want the most."

William snorted, "Is that so? What do women want?"

"Women want men to torment them. The more painful, the better. Regardless of what they say, the men who leave a lasting impression on them are often the ones who hurt them the most. They never forget them for a lifetime. On the other hand, those who treat them well are easily forgotten. So, to win a woman over, you must first hurt her, then show her some tenderness, followed by more hurt. In this way, she will be immersed in bittersweet happiness."

William chuckled, "You're absurd."

"Absurd?" The man chuckled, "Think about it yourself. Isn't that how things often play out in reality?"

William gripped his glass, thinking about Alexander and Ava.

Why did Ava still think about Alexander, no matter how much he hurt her? Could it be true, as the man suggested, that the men who leave a lasting impression on women are the ones who hurt them the most?

"I understand you." the man raised his hand and lightly patted William's shoulder. Leaning in closer, he whispered in his ear, "Actually, winning over a woman isn't as difficult as it seems. You need to..."
