Chapter 1091 All Compensation
"Alright," Brandon nodded. "Is there anything else you want me to tell them?"
Mia thought for a moment and then said, "Please bring a divorce agreement to George for me and tell him I want a divorce."
When Brandon heard the word "divorce," a hint of joy flashed in his eyes, but he quickly asked seriously, "Are you sure?"
Mia nodded, "I'm sure. First, I've been planning to divorce him for a long time. Second, if I send the divorce agreement, my disappearance during this time will be more convincing. Just tell them I'm with you, that I want to be with you. If they don't believe it, I'll go back in a couple of days and explain it to them."
Brandon was willing to do anything for her now. He nodded and said, "Alright, I'll do as you say. Is there any specific standard for the divorce agreement? Do you want to include anything about property distribution?"
"No need," Mia shook her head. "I don't want anything from the Mitchell family. I already have everything I need and I'm not short of money. I don't need George's assets."
"Alright then, I'll draft a standard divorce agreement for you. You can review it later."
Mia responded with a sound of agreement.
Immediately, Brandon took out his phone and went outside to make a call.
After a while, he hung up and came back in.
"I've asked my secretary to draft the divorce agreement. He'll bring it over shortly."
He raised his hand and gently stroked Mia's hair. "You've suffered a lot. I promise you, you will never..."
"Don't make promises to me," Mia interrupted him. "I've heard promises from many men, and none of them kept their word. I still cried when I had to cry, and I still hurt when I had to hurt. So please, no more promises, okay?"
Mia's tone was filled with despair.
Brandon was slightly stunned, and a deep sense of sadness welled up in his heart.
"Alright, I won't say that. I will make it up to you. Whatever you want, I'll give it to you."
"To make up for your mother?" Mia gave a bitter smile. "If I wanted her to go to jail, would you agree?"
Brandon was stunned.
Seeing him speechless, Mia gave a helpless smile. "I don't want to discuss this anymore. I'm very tired and in a lot of pain. I want to heal my wounds now. When I'm better, we can discuss this again."
Mia really didn't have the energy to talk about it anymore. She was already in enough pain and didn't want to add to it.
She could see what Brandon was thinking. She understood that Mandy was his biological mother, and he naturally wanted to protect her.
But from her perspective, she was the one who had been kidnapped and tortured. No matter whose mother Mandy was, it was the same to her. She hated her to the core.
Brandon also hadn't thought of a good way to resolve this. He knew Mandy had done terrible things, but she was still his mother. He couldn't bring himself to sever ties completely.
However, he also felt sorry for Mia. He wanted Mandy to pay some price to compensate Mia, and he was willing to give everything to make up for her pain.
Both women were very important to him, and he was struggling to make a decision.
He hoped to find a good solution to this problem.
For now, he hoped Mia would recover quickly. Once she was better, they could discuss it thoroughly. He believed there was a solution to everything.
He was willing to give her everything to make it up to her.
