Chapter 924 Come Back Soon
Alexander grabbed Madison's hand and forcefully pried it open. "You should have a good rest. Maybe by tomorrow morning, I'll be back."
He hoped he could return by tomorrow morning. Not because he wanted to see Madison, but because he hoped to find Ava soon.
Alexander turned and held Madison's thin shoulders.
Seeing Madison's tearful and distressed face, Alexander said helplessly, "Madison, don't invest too much emotion in me. I might not be able to give you much."
He admitted it was his fault. He had made it clear to her from the beginning, but Madison still gave her all for him without hesitation.
He was moved, so he accepted her as Ava's substitute, using her to recall the sweetness of his past marriage with Ava.
However, deep down, he still couldn't forget Ava.
He was living in the past and couldn't move on.
He guiltily wiped away Madison's tears and kissed her on the forehead, "Good night."
After saying that, he turned and left.
" Alexander!" Madison cried and chased after him.
But no matter how Madison called and shouted for him, Alexander never looked back. Instead, he walked faster, deliberately making it impossible for her to catch up.
At the stairway, she saw him mercilessly open the door and leave.
"Alexander! Don't go, I'm begging you!" Madison shouted in despair.
Madison fell to the ground, "Alexander, how can you treat me like this? How can you!"
"I gave you everything, all of me. How can you do this?" Madison sat on the ground and cried for a long time.
Later, Madison returned to her room in a daze. She took out her phone and called her cousin Emily.
She didn't know who else to confide in, so she could only turn to Emily. Every time something happened, she would confide in Emily.
Soon, she got through to Emily and talked for a long time, sharing all her grievances and telling her about Ava.
Emily, being blunt, kept cursing Ava with all kinds of foul words, as if Ava was a demon in her eyes.
From beginning to end, Madison didn't curse Ava, she just listened to Emily's cursing.
She didn't have to dirty her own mouth to hear someone curse Ava, it was Emily who did it for her.
Madison finally felt a bit better, at least someone was on her side.
They talked until midnight. In the end, Madison felt a bit sleepy.
Emily indeed talked a lot and had a foul mouth, but hearing her curse Ava made Madison feel much better.
After ending the call, Madison put her phone aside.
"Ava, why do you still want to take Alexander from me? You already have William. Why do all the men love you? Why? Why do you still want to take him from me?" Madison asked.
Madison clutched her pillow. "You're such a bitch. Do you feel uneasy seeing Alexander with another woman? You're so vicious. I won't let you succeed!"
"Alexander is an exceptionally good man. He absolutely cannot be with a vicious woman like you!" Madison took a deep breath.
'Don't rush, don't let Alexander get tired of me. I have to be generous. Men like generous women. The more generous they are, the more men feel for them. The more petty and mean they are, the less men like them.' she told it to herself in her mind.
In the silent night, moonlight filtered through the branches, casting the villa's outline in a faint glow.
The room was filled with a suffocating atmosphere, as if time had frozen there. The dim light cast shadows on the walls, outlining a sense of heaviness and an indescribable weight.
