Chapter 1141 Emily Goes Crazy
Madison tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep.
She turned her head and asked, "Emily, after the potion was injected, how did Scarlett react?"
Emily was holding her phone, reading a novel. Hearing Madison's question, she turned her head and asked, "You're still awake this late?"
"How can I sleep?"
Emily said, "She didn't have any reaction."
Madison recalled what Eason had told her. The potion was given to her by Eason, who said there wouldn't be any special reaction after the injection, just to wait for good news. She didn't know if the potion would work.
Madison turned her head and saw Emily still engrossed in her novel, as if nothing had happened.
"Emily, how can you still read novels when something so big has happened?"
"What's the big deal? It's just Scarlett. Nothing to worry about."
Emily lay on her back, holding her phone, reading the novel while cursing, "The female lead is such a slut, starting to get involved with other men again. Don't say the male lead is bad; he just cheated, got divorced, and slept with a few supporting female characters. He treated them well, so what's the big deal? The female lead is the real slut for not forgiving the male lead and getting close to the supporting male character. She's a shameless, promiscuous woman!"
"The male lead can cheat and sleep around. He's a man, an excellent man. Sleeping with a few women is an honor for them. But the female lead is different; women should understand what morality is."
Emily continued reading and spewing vulgarities.
Madison noticed Emily's username was "EmilyOnlySupportsMainCharacters."
She sneered inwardly.
Emily didn't just support the main characters; she clearly only supported the male lead.
Every night before bed, Emily would hold her phone and read novels. No matter how many novels she read, Madison only heard Emily insulting the female lead and the authors.
No matter how excessive the male lead's actions were, having relationships with other women, being tender and caring towards them, it was all fine in Emily's eyes. She couldn't bear to say a bad word about the male lead.
But if the female lead so much as held hands with another man, she was promiscuous and cheap in Emily's eyes.
In reality, Emily didn't even know how many men she had slept with. By her own standards, she was a cheap woman too.
But Madison kept these thoughts to herself.
There was nothing worth saying.
The more someone was cheap themselves, the more they called others cheap. Emily was that kind of promiscuous person, so she constantly called others promiscuous.
Did someone like Emily deserve to share Alexander with her? She must be dreaming. Alexander would never be interested in someone as stupid and ugly as her.
Emily continued reading her novel, spewing vulgarities.
Madison was annoyed.
She sat up in bed, took her phone, and walked out of the room to call Alexander.
After a few seconds, the call connected.
"Hello."
"Alexander, I can't sleep, so I wanted to check on you."
"I'm fine. I'm at the hotel now."
"Oh, how's Grandma?"
"Grandma is doing well."
"That's good. Alexander, no matter what, Grandma will be fine. I'll always be by your side. I'll visit Grandma tomorrow."
"It's okay. Stay with Emily. Get some rest."
"Alright, Alexander, you get some rest too."
After hanging up, Madison returned to the room with her phone.
Emily was glaring, baring her teeth, cursing and commenting, "The cheap, promiscuous female lead, shameless slut, promiscuous woman? The male lead just slept with a few supporting female characters. What's the big deal? It's nothing compared to the female lead's cheapness, holding the injured supporting male character. So disgusting, promiscuous!"
A reader couldn't stand Emily's foul language and replied, "Are you out of your mind? The male lead is such a scumbag, kissing and sleeping with the supporting female characters, betraying the female lead. Are you blind? The female lead never slept with another man, and she's divorced. Can't she find a new boyfriend? You're crazy!"
Emily got agitated and replied, "Is your whole family crazy? The female lead is a promiscuous slut, holding hands and hugging the supporting male character. So dirty. Are you blind? Are you also a slut in real life, liking to hug and kiss men, doing all sorts of indecent, promiscuous things!"
The other person replied, "You're an idiot. I'm done with you."
Emily replied, "I hit the nail on the head, didn't I? You indecent slut. Everyone who defends the female lead is indecent. You must be an indecent slut in real life too!"
Emily continued replying, repeating her filthy comments out loud.
Madison was annoyed and immediately took Emily's phone, putting it aside. "It's late. Go to sleep. I'm tired too."
"Fine, I'll be quiet."
Emily snatched her phone back and continued posting vulgar comments, stinking up the place.
The other readers ignored Emily, not bothering to reply, leaving Emily to rant alone.
