Chapter 716 Strange Scene

"Eason, you're eighteen now, an adult, and you're still acting like a kid," Ava scolded him like he were a child.

In reality, she was only three years older than him.

Eason hung his head, looking pitiful. "I'm sorry, Ava. I messed up."

Ava didn't buy it. "Don't try to look all sad. You think that'll make me go easy on you?"

William suddenly laughed. Ava had seen right through Eason, and it was hilarious.

"What's so funny?" Ava's eyes locked onto William. "Feeling proud of yourself?"

William's smile vanished. "That's not what I meant."

'Ava's too much, embarrassing me in front of Eason like that,' he thought.

"If that's not what you meant, then why are you laughing? You're just as childish as him. Pretending to have a headache and collapsing on the floor. If you're such a good actor, why not go to Hollywood?" Ava snapped.

William forced a smile. "Ava, I really do have a headache."

He then rubbed his temples.

Ava crossed her arms, her voice icy, "You're twenty-seven. Could you be more mature? You suddenly got a headache while eating?"

If William really had a headache, she could tell. But this time, it was too obvious he was faking.

William dropped his hand, avoiding her gaze. "Sorry, I didn't mean to."

"You say that, but you still did it."

Ava pointed at both of them. "You both have issues."

She wasn't taking sides.

"You know I have surgery tomorrow, and you're still fighting for attention."

With that one sentence, she exposed their true intentions.

"Ava, don't be mad," Eason said, biting his lip and looking pitiful. "I've been without parents since I was a kid, so I'm starved for affection. You're so good to me. I can't help but want more of your attention. That's why I pretended to bite my tongue. I'm sorry, Ava."

Eason wiped his tears, looking even more pitiful.

Seeing Eason like this, Ava's heart softened.

"Alright, stop crying. You're eighteen. Enough with the tears."

"Ava, don't be mad at me. I know I was wrong. I won't do it again," Eason apologized, tears welling up in his eyes.

William wanted to gouge out Eason's eyes. His tears came so easily.

Thinking about how Eason had no parents growing up, Ava felt empathetic. She knew it must have been hard for him.

"Alright, I'm not mad at you. Stop crying. I know you didn't have parents growing up. I understand. Just don't do it again."

As long as he admitted his mistake, she could forgive him.

"Okay, I understand." Eason nodded vigorously. "Thank you, Ava."

"Ava, since you forgave him, forgive me too."

William was a bit indignant. 'Why can Eason get forgiven just by crying? Are his tears that valuable? Are they diamonds?'

'How could Ava be so easily fooled? She is such a silly woman!' William yelled in his heart.

Ava asked coldly, "You had a dad and a sister growing up. What's your excuse?"

William thought for a moment and said softly, "I have amnesia."

Ava suddenly had nothing to say.

She sighed. They really were a handful.

Ava really wanted to scream!

Just then, a voice came from the doorway, "Ava, what's going on?"

Vicky walked in and saw the strange scene before her. Two men lying on the bed and an exasperated Ava.
