Chapter 950 Making a Big Deal Out of Nothing
"You!" he yelled, fuming.
Alexander was about to step forward when Ava shoved him hard. "He's not wrong, Alexander. When your gang members captured me, when they were about to kill me, it was Vincent who saved me. Where were you then? Why didn't you come to rescue me? Oh, I know, you were busy holding hands with Madison, licking her ice cream, sharing her saliva, or tangled up with her in bed. How could you have time to save me?"
Alexander stayed silent.
"Alexander, get this straight. I don't need you to save me. I'm fine now. You're just making a big deal out of nothing!" Ava sneered.
"Making a big deal out of nothing? Ava, I worked so hard to find you, worried sick about your safety, and you think I'm making a big deal out of nothing!"
All his efforts and care were ignored, and she was even blaming him. He couldn't bear this pain.
"Thanks for trying to find me and worrying about my safety, but all your actions just made things worse. Even if you didn't look for me, I would have been back tomorrow. But you insisted on looking for me, blew up someone's house, and hurt my savior. Your so-called efforts only made things worse, and then you feel self-righteous! And you blame me for not understanding you!" Ava said.
"Ava, you're so cruel. How can you treat me like this?" Alexander's voice grew more and more choked.
"Aren't you cruel? When you rushed in, even when I tried to stop you, if you had listened to me, I wouldn't have said these harsh words. I wouldn't have thought you were making a big deal out of nothing. But you didn't listen to me at all. No matter how I tried to stop you, you still shot at him. You even thought I was out of my mind. How can I appreciate your efforts? Alexander, you've really gone too far it," Ava said calmly.
Ava wiped the tears from her face. "Haven't you fallen in love with Madison? You should be with her. Why come to save me? She's pregnant with your child. Go back and take care of her."
Alexander closed his eyes in pain. He took a deep breath, trying to get a grip on his emotions.
He was now certain that Ava was clear-headed because she knew everything.
Every word she said was like a knife cutting through his weaknesses.
He instructed his subordinates, "Put your guns down."
Outside the room, another group of people appeared stealthily in the night.
"Mr. Bennett, we've identified the owner of this house. His name is Vincent, a ruthless killer with the codename Death. He once took on the largest gang here and wiped them out. The police knew about it but deliberately didn't intervene because they wanted to get rid of that gang. So they let Vincent wipe them out and then tried to arrest him. But Vincent is particularly cunning and hasn't been caught until now."
William was a bit nervous.
Ava had fallen into the hands of such a man.
But there were intense sounds coming from inside, indicating that the man had already been subdued.
William thought, 'No, Alexander can't be allowed to save Ava.' He rushed in with his gun.
Inside the room, Ava immediately went to Vincent's side and helped him up.
She reached out to cover the wound on his arm. "Vincent, I'm sorry."
