Chapter 801 Help Me
The phone rang, breaking the silence.
Alexander had just unscrewed the pill bottle cap. His hand trembled at the sound.
He sighed, screwed the cap back on, set the bottle aside, and picked up the phone.
Seeing the caller ID, he hesitated for a moment before answering, "Hello."
"Mr. Mitchell, sorry to bother you so late," Madison's voice came through.
"It's fine. What's up?" Alexander lay back on the bed, his voice flat.
"I need your help," Madison's voice shook with fear.
Alexander frowned, sensing something was wrong. He sat up and leaned against the headboard.
"What’s wrong?" he asked.
He had given Madison his number for emergencies, but she had never called until now.
Madison hesitated, "I don't know how to start. This isn't your problem, and I shouldn't be asking for help. Sorry, I'll hang up."
Before she could, Alexander heard banging through the phone, "Open the door!"
A bad feeling hit him. He called her back immediately.
"Mr. Mitchell," she answered.
"What happened?" he asked.
"I..." Madison hesitated.
"Just tell me!" Alexander's tone grew urgent.
Madison started crying, "Can you help me? I'm so scared."
The banging continued.
"I know you're in there. You can't hide forever. I'll come every day. Open the door!"
"Are you in trouble?" Alexander asked.
"Yes," Madison replied, her voice filled with fear.
The phone was filled with a man's shouting and cursing.
"Then call 911," Alexander said. It made more sense to call the police.
"You're right. I should call the police. I won't bother you anymore. I'll hang up now," Madison said.
"Hold on," Alexander stopped her.
"Mr. Mitchell, is there anything else?" Madison cried.
"Tell me the address, quickly," he insisted.
"Never mind. You're right, I should call the police," she replied.
"Address," Alexander repeated firmly.
Madison, with trembling hands, sent him the address.
In less than half an hour, Alexander arrived at Madison's house with two bodyguards.
The police were already there, pinning the man who had been banging on the door against the wall.
When Alexander walked in, the police greeted him, "Mr. Mitchell, you're here."
Alexander had called the police on his way, worried he wouldn't make it in time.
Madison was sitting on the couch, still in shock.
Seeing Alexander, she stood up immediately. "Mr. Mitchell, you're here."
She thought he had only called the police, but after they arrived and apprehended the man, they stayed, saying they were waiting for someone. She didn't expect that someone to be Alexander.
