Chapter 872 My Ex-Wife

Ava was freakin' out that William might lose his cool. She grabbed him quick and gave him a soft pat on the back, "William, chill out. I'm not goin' anywhere. I'm stickin' with you. I promised, remember?"

She'd never broken a promise before, and she sure as hell wasn't gonna start now.

William started to calm down, his breathing evening out.

He clung to Ava like she was his lifeline, "The three of us, we're never gonna be apart, right?"

Ava had no choice but to nod, "Yeah, we won't be separated."

The doc had warned her that William couldn't get worked up right after his treatment. For the next 48 hours, he needed to keep his emotions in check.

His brain had just been through some serious machine treatment and needed time to chill and recover.

Ava thought, 'Why the hell does Alexander have to show up now? Does he know about William's condition and is just here to mess with him?'

Alexander walked up to Ava, step by step, until he was right in front of her.

The vibe was super tense. Ava looked up, tears in her eyes, staring at him.

A wave of pain hit her hard in the chest. she hadn't expected it to be like this, not now.

Ava thought, 'Why now? Why?'

Alexander's fists were clenched, his eyes blazing with anger, staring at the cozy scene, staring at the baby in William's arms, a baby who was being all chill in William's embrace.

He saw William holding the baby tight and remembered what William had just said to the kid.

The word "Daddy" was like nails on a chalkboard.

Ava and William actually had a kid!

Judging by the timing, it must've been right after their divorce that the kid was conceived.

Ava not only got tangled up with William but also hooked up with him right after their divorce.

She'd initially denied it, saying they were just friends, but turns out they were way more than that. This kid was the proof!

Alexander thought, 'The three of them were living it up in Stellaria! But here I was feeling like I'm dying. How freakin' ridiculous! I'm just a fool.'

Ava looked at Alexander's face and felt a deep sadness.

She thought, 'What kind of look is that in his eyes now? I told him, but he still didn't reach out. He was the one who didn't want this kid. Does he still feel angry and wronged now?'

Ava couldn't hold back her anger and snapped, "Why are you looking at me like that? You didn't want to see me, and this kid, clearly..."

"Madison." Alexander cut her off, calling out to Madison behind him.

Madison heard Alexander's voice and quickly walked over.

Alexander pulled Madison into his arms and held her tight, "Babe, let me introduce you. This is my ex-wife, Ava."

Alexander's move left Madison totally stunned.

She looked at him, shocked. But seeing the deep pain in Alexander's eyes, she got it. This was his way of coping.

He was forcing himself to keep it together, to stand there and face Ava without losing it.

So, Madison straightened up, gave a slight smile, and looked at Ava, "Hey, I'm Madison. Alexander's mentioned you before. Nice to finally meet you."

She could finally call him Alexander openly, without worrying about him flipping out.

Ava looked at the woman named Madison, totally shocked.
