Chapter 482 I Implore You
William's surgery lasted for six hours.
Finally, the doctor came out.
"Doctor, how is he?"
Everyone rushed forward to inquire about the situation.
The doctor, wearied countenance evident, removed his mask and said, "Previously, William was in a coma, his condition grave. It was impossible to restore adequate cerebral blood flow. The surgery was too risky, and the current medications proved futile. Yet, this morning, to our surprise, we detected activity in his brain. Upon examination, we found that cerebral blood flow had actually returned. However, a brain hemorrhage had also emerged. Hence, the surgery we performed this time aimed to eliminate the hemorrhage, significantly reducing the risk."
Upon hearing the doctor's words, Ava pondered for a moment and inquired, "So, with William's cerebral blood flow restored, there is hope for him?"
The doctor nodded. "This is a favorable sign, and also a remarkably miraculous occurrence. We have performed a surgical evacuation of the brain hematoma for him. Now, we need to transfer him to the intensive care unit for observation. The next forty-eight hours are crucial. If he can awaken and there are no significant complications, there is a chance for a positive turn of events."
Upon hearing those words, Ava's entire being relaxed. However, due to her legs giving way, she nearly stumbled to the ground, thankfully caught in time by Brandon. "Are you alright?"
Ava's emotions were heightened as she grasped the doctor's arm. "What are the chances of him waking up?"
"Yes," Dalton also inquired urgently, "What are the chances of him waking up?"
The doctor said, "Previously, there was no way to restore blood supply to his brain, but a miracle happened. His brain blood supply actually recovered on its own, and the hematoma removal surgery we performed went very smoothly. Theoretically, the chances of him waking up are over sixty percent."
Upon hearing that, Ava cried excitedly.
Sixty percent was better than having no hope at all.
The doctor continued, "Although I can't guarantee it one hundred percent, I believe it is a miracle. William's condition is rare in medical history. He actually restored his brain blood supply on his own. I've been practicing medicine for many years and have never seen such a situation. Once he stabilizes, we will conduct a comprehensive examination on William to find out the exact cause."
There must be a reason why he was able to restore his brain's blood supply. Although miracles existed in the world, some things still needed to be thoroughly investigated to obtain the final results.
At this moment, William was wheeled out of the operating room by medical staff.
"William." Ava rushed forward, seeing the person lying on the hospital bed with closed eyes. Ava dared not touch him. He had just undergone surgery, and she was afraid to hurt him. So, she could only gaze at him tearfully.
"William, you will be fine. You will definitely wake up." Ava followed the bed. "William, I will always be with you. I won't go anywhere. You must wake up."
William was taken to the intensive care unit.
He was exceedingly fragile. In order to prevent infection, his relatives were not allowed to accompany him. Only professional medical staff were permitted entry.
Ava stood outside the intensive care unit, hands pressed against the glass wall, staring intently at the person in the room.
He must be in a lot of pain, with so many tubes and needles inserted in his body. He must be extremely uncomfortable.
He shouldn't have endured all this. It was all her fault. If that incident hadn't happened, William wouldn't have left in anger.
If she had forcefully stopped William at that time, things wouldn't have turned out like this. He wouldn't have been in trouble. It was all her fault.
"William, you must get better. Otherwise, I will bear the guilt of your death for the rest of my life. You must get better, okay? Please."
