Chapter 882 Pain and Sorrow

"Alexander!" Madison rushed over, grabbing his face with worry. "You good? Does it hurt bad?"

Madison let out a secret sigh of relief. When Ava called out to Alex earlier, she freaked, thinking they might get back together.

No way she could let that happen, but luckily, Ava was all about William.

Alex just stood there, silent and dazed, like his soul had checked out.

Seeing Madison all frantic over Alex, Ava realized Madison really did love him.

Then Ava turned to William. "William, you okay?"

Both guys had messed-up faces, but William's was worse.

William had just finished treatment and couldn't handle more stress. After another beatdown, Ava worried his brain might get messed up again.

"I'm fine." He turned his head and told the person holding him, "Let go of me."

But the guy was scared he'd flip out again and didn't dare let go.

Ava told them, "Please let go of my husband. I promise he won't act up again."

Only after Ava's words did they release William.

William wiped the blood from his mouth, looking guilty. "Sorry for making you worry. I'm fine, just some scratches."

William trying to act tough just made it sadder.

Ava said, "How about giving Sunny a hug?"

William nodded and hugged Sunny.

Ava walked up to Alex and asked, "Alex, why do you always do this? Why?"

Her voice wasn't angry, just calm but filled with sadness and disappointment.

"What are you talking about?"

Seeing the doubt and blame in Ava's eyes, Alex felt like his heart was getting stabbed over and over.

William's punches were nothing compared to this. One look from Ava could break him completely.

No one could hurt him like Ava did.

"Alexander, William and I came to Stellaria. Even from so far away, you found us and messed with him. Did you know William couldn't handle stress during his treatment, so you did this on purpose to hurt him?"

Alex stood there, each of her words hitting him like a poisoned knife.

Madison couldn't take it and said, "Don't talk nonsense. Alex didn't do that. He just came to Stellaria with me for a vacation and happened to run into you..."

"Did you really just happen to run into us?" Ava cut Madison off. "Alex, do you dare swear you were just here for a vacation and coincidentally met us?"

Madison went silent, looking up at Alex with tearful eyes. "Alex, let's go. Let's leave."

But Alex didn't move.

Finally, he spoke, "No, it's not a coincidence. I came here specifically to find you."

Hearing this, Ava's tears fell instantly.

She bit her lip, trying hard to hold back the pain and sorrow. "Why? Why do you have to do this? Do you just want to ruin my life?"

She had already planned to live a good life, so why did Alex have to show up again?
