Chapter 561 Two Sons

Ava was a bit hesitant to answer the phone, but she plucked up the courage and answered, "Hello, Grandma."

"Ava, what's going on? I heard about the wedding incident. Is that true? Did Alex cause trouble at someone else's wedding?" Scarlett asked.

"Grandma, this matter is a bit complicated. I will explain it to you in person when we meet," Ava replied.

"Just tell me if it's Alex's fault. If it is, I will directly reprimand him," Scarlett said angrily.

"Grandma, although he was a bit reckless, it is not entirely Alex's fault. I am busy right now. I will come to see you later and explain everything to you in person. Don't worry for now."

"Where is Alex now? Why can't I reach him on his phone?" Scarlett asked.

Ava said, "Alex is with me now. We need to discuss some matters related to the company. After all, I am now a shareholder of SK Group, and there are things I need to know. I will take this opportunity to have a good chat with him."

"Alright," Scarlett said, "You talk to him slowly. Tell him that no matter what, he has to explain to me. I sent him to attend the wedding, not to cause trouble. He actually broke up the bride and groom. It's insane."

Scarlett's voice sounded very angry.

"Okay, Grandma, but he didn't do it on purpose, and that groom, indeed, was cheating. Their whole family kept it from the bride. It's better that the wedding didn't happen. It's a good thing for your friend's granddaughter. With time, everything will pass," Ava said.

Scarlett said, "That's one way to put it, but this matter has caused quite a stir. He could have handled it privately. Why did he have to say such things in public? I heard he was reeking of alcohol at the time. Did he drink a lot?"

"He didn't drink much, just a little, and he did it to help me handle the alcohol. Grandma, don't blame him."

Scarlett sighed. "You always defend him. I really can't do anything with you. I won't pressure you now. When you have time, come to me and explain everything properly."

"Okay, Grandma, I understand," Ava replied.

After they finished talking, they hung up.

Ava stared at the red light above the operating room door, not knowing when he would come out. For the time being, she couldn't go to William's place.

She called William to let him know she would be late.

Soon, William answered the phone. "Ava."

"William, how are you feeling today?" Ava asked.

"Since you're not here, I feel a bit empty. However, I'm fine. I have to learn to be independent," William replied.

Ava now felt like she was raising two children.

William was the older son, growing up slowly and learning not to cling to her anymore, which made her relieved.

Alexander was the younger son, not weaned yet, constantly crying and being difficult every day.

"William, I have some things to deal with here. I might be late coming back. Can you manage alone?" Ava asked.

"No problem. I'm not alone. Someone is taking care of me. Don't worry about me. Focus on your tasks," he said.

Ava breathed a sigh of relief. William's tone didn't sound upset at all.

Her "older son" had indeed grown up, become sensible, and made her worry less.

But...

She looked towards the operating room.

Alexander, this troublesome "younger son", always caused various troubles. She didn't know when he would grow up.
