Chapter 540 Teaching a Lesson
His tone was somewhat anxious as he lifted the blanket off himself to get out of bed.
Ella immediately got up from the floor, walked over, and said, "I'm fine. Don't get up."
She tucked Eason back in. "Don't move, just lie down properly."
"Sorry, did I scare you?"
Eason looked at her with his beautiful eyes, looking pitiful.
Hearing his apology, Ella immediately relieved a lot. "I'm fine. What's wrong with you?"
"I've just been through so much recently, having undergone surgery and been bedridden. I suddenly felt overwhelmed and inadvertently lost my temper. It wasn't intentional. Please don't be mad at me."
Eason looked pitiful, his expression so endearing as he spoke, his eyes seeming to hold a hint of moisture.
Ella immediately comforted him, saying, "I was a bit startled, indeed, but I'm not angry. If there's anything bothering you, feel free to talk to me about it."
"No, you wouldn't interest it." Eason lowered his head in disappointment.
She pulled a chair to his side and said, "Go ahead. My job is to take care of you. I believe it's not just your physical health but also your mental health, that I need to help with. If you're willing, I want to help you."
Eason stared at the woman in front of him, silent for a long time.
"What if I tell you and you tell others?" Eason seemed a bit uneasy.
"I won't tell anyone. Don't worry." Her eyes were sincere.
"Really? You're not lying to me?"
The nurse nodded. "I'm not lying, really."
"Okay, I'll tell you." Eason leaned against the headboard and said, "I have a sister. She's very nice and treats me very well. Unfortunately, she keeps getting hurt by men."
Ella asked, "Have you tried advising her?"
"She's very headstrong. As her brother, I can do nothing but worry. Now, there are two men with bad intentions towards her, but she's very kind to them."
Eason got angrier as he spoke.
"It sounds like she easily believes what men say."
Eason shook his head. "Not entirely. It's just that these two men are very good at pretending, and she is kind-hearted. So, these ill-intentioned men take advantage of her, and it makes me very angry."
"Do you want to help her?" the nurse asked.
"I do." Eason nodded firmly. "I really want to teach them a lesson. However, if she finds out, she'll be very upset. In her eyes, I'm a good brother who wouldn't do anything bad. I don't want her to worry about me, nor do I want her to be angry."
"You really are a good brother." The nurse gave him a thumbs up.
"Yes, I am." Eason lowered his head, feeling gloomy. "I watch helplessly as she's about to be deceived by bad men again, and it makes me so angry."
Ella thought for a moment. "Have you ever thought about secretly teaching those bad men a lesson?"
"I have, but it would make her sad." Eason was very considerate of Ava, and he couldn't bear to see her sad.
"What if the bad men turned against each other?" the nurse said, "Your sister would see how unreliable they are and stay away from them."
Eason's eyes lit up.
"Yeah, why didn't I think of that?"
"I thought of it for you," she said, "It sounds like your sister is very popular. Since they're all bad men, they'll eventually teach each other a lesson."
