Chapter 1204 Bringing Disaster
"How about you?" Alexander retorted. "Ava, when will you see the true nature of the people around you? William is two-faced, pretentious, and a compulsive liar. Bishop has blood on his hands and countless enemies; he's like a ticking time bomb. The two of them will only bring you disaster."
Ava sneered, "And how many disasters have you brought me? Do you think the mental anguish you've caused me isn't severe enough?"
Alexander gave a bitter smile, "Ava, do I have to die to make up for the harm I've done to you?"
"No, I just hope you won't disturb my life anymore. Whether my future is good or bad, it has nothing to do with you. Scarlett used to be the only link between us, but now that she's gone, there's nothing left between us."
Ava avoided Alexander's eyes, "You should go."
Alexander clenched his fists, "If that's what you want, I understand. I'll try to stay away from you and never bother you again. After all, there's nothing left between us."
With red eyes, Alexander turned and left.
As the door closed, Alexander's body swayed to the side, almost collapsing. He had to lean against the wall to support himself barely.
He raised his hand to clutch his heart, which felt like it was about to shatter from the pain, and walked forward in despair.
Downstairs, he saw Bishop holding Sunny, lifting him high. Sunny was laughing happily, and Alexander vaguely heard Sunny calling out, "Daddy."
Alexander felt even more heartbroken.
How many dads does Sunny have?
Alexander clenched his fists, jealousy burning fiercely in his chest. He was angry, but he also knew that what he hated was the fact that no matter how many dads Sunny had, he wasn't one of them.
He remembered when he held Sunny before, and Sunny called him daddy. At that moment, he felt like he really was Sunny's dad.
Was Sunny really William's child? Why did Sunny live with Ava, and why did William not even try to fight for him?
Lost in thought, Alexander didn't notice Bishop approaching with Sunny until they were right in front of him.
"Did you finish talking?" Bishop asked.
"Bishop, you know you're a dangerous person. Why stay around Ava? You'll only bring her trouble. I'm not saying this out of jealousy; I'm genuinely concerned for Ava's safety."
In Stellaria, Alexander thought the issue was resolved, and Bishop had voluntarily left. He considered Bishop somewhat of a man for that, but he didn't expect Bishop to follow Ava to Berlyn.
"Whether it's jealousy or concern for her safety, there's no need to explain," Bishop said calmly. "This is Berlyn. My enemies aren't here. As long as you don't say anything, no one will know I'm here."
"And what about the future? Do you plan to cling to Ava forever?"
"Cling to her?" Bishop chuckled lightly. "You really know how to choose your words. What does my presence in her life have to do with you?"
Alexander was infuriated, his face turning pale.
Sunny stared at Alexander and suddenly reached out his hand, "Daddy, hug."
Bishop was a bit surprised by Sunny's behavior.
A wave of joy surged in Alexander's heart. He was about to step forward to hug Sunny but suddenly thought of something and withdrew his hand.
Bishop gave an awkward smile. "Sunny calls everyone daddy, probably because he doesn't live with his biological father every day."
Alexander forced a smile. "Maybe. I'm leaving."
Staying any longer would suffocate him.
Just as Alexander was about to leave, Bishop noticed Sunny squirming in his arms, seemingly wanting to go to Alexander.
After a few seconds of hesitation, he called out to Alexander, "Wait a minute."
