Chapter 842 Enough

Late at night, a car rolled up to this swanky private villa.

Mia clutched the steering wheel, parked at the entrance, and just sat there, not budging.

Then, a knock on the window snapped her out of it. She rolled it down.

Dalton was there, grinning, "Hey, you made it. Been waiting forever."

He opened the car door for her, all gentleman-like.

But Mia knew better.

She got out, grabbing her bag.

Dalton offered, "Let me carry that for you."

"Nope." She headed straight into the villa.

Dalton trailed behind. "Had dinner yet?"

"Yeah."

"Want a little more?"

"Nope."

Mia marched upstairs.

In the room, she tossed her bag aside and started stripping.

Dalton just stood there, arms crossed, watching.

Halfway through, Mia snapped, "What are you gawking at? Get undressed. I gotta bounce after this."

"Why leave so late?" Dalton stepped up, helping her out of her coat and unbuttoning her shirt. "Crash here tonight. We can have breakfast together."

He peeled off her clothes piece by piece and lifted her onto the bed.

Dalton leaned in for a kiss, but Mia blocked him. "Where's my necklace? Hand it over."

Dalton reached under the pillow, pulled out a necklace, and dangled it.

"This one?" he teased.

Mia reached for it, but he pulled back. "Hold up, I'll put it on for you."

Dalton's big hand cradled her head, about to put the necklace on, but Mia yanked away.

"I don't need your help. If you wanna get it on, hurry up. I gotta go."

Dalton tightened his grip on the necklace, pinning her hands down. "You're staying tonight. No leaving."

"Are you telling me what to do?" Mia's voice was ice.

Dalton smiled, his hand caressing her face, "I just miss you. Stay a bit longer. If you leave, I'll swing by Scarlett's and tell her how stunning you look in my bed."

Mia slapped him hard, leaving a red mark.

Dalton didn't get mad. He just touched his face and smirked.

"You're pissed," he said.

His hand suddenly gripped her chin, his eyes cold, "I want you mad, so you know how far I'll go."

Mia raised her hand to slap him again.

Dalton caught her wrist.

"Enough, babe. Don't push it."

He bit her finger playfully.

Then, he forced the necklace around her neck.

"I love how you look with this on. It's hot."

Mia sneered, "You're a freak."

"Yep, a freak who loves you," Dalton admitted, "We've lived half our lives. Why not do what we want? I can make you real happy."

Mia turned her head, not even looking at him.

Dalton tossed his clothes on the floor and leaned in to kiss her.

Then, a phone rang.

Dalton said, "Sweetie, your phone's ringing. Wanna get it?"

"Nope," Mia said, "Hurry up."

She wanted it over with.

Seeing her so eager, Dalton got more into it.

He reached into her bag, pulled out her phone, and glanced at it.

Seeing the caller ID, his eyes lit up. He waved the phone in front of her. "It's your husband calling."
