Chapter 865 Don't Spoil Him

Madison had to admit that Mia's words were like a shot of adrenaline. She trusted Mia wouldn't BS her, and if Alexander really said no one is irreplaceable, then maybe, just maybe, Ava could be replaced by her too.

Madison was a bundle of nerves. "Ms. Thompson, you really think I got what it takes?"

Mia reached over and gave Madison's hand a reassuring pat. "Absolutely, girl. If I didn't think you could, I wouldn't be saying this. I believe in you, so don't sell yourself short."

"But I'm just a regular girl with no connections," Madison said, feeling uneasy. "The Mitchells are like, super fancy."

"Don't talk nonsense," Mia said, getting serious. "Yeah, the Mitchells are big shots, but who cares? I just want Alexander to be happy. Ava didn't have any fancy background either; she was an orphan the Mitchells took in. They don't care about that stuff, just if the girl is good. We just want our kids to be happy, that's what matters."

Madison was floored. She had no idea the Mitchells were so chill about backgrounds.

And it was the first time she heard Ava's backstory.

With that in mind, Madison felt a surge of confidence.

She thought, 'If Ava could do it with her background, then why can't I?'

"Ms. Thompson, thanks for believing in me, but I'm kinda lost right now. I wanna go with him to Stellaria, but he said he'd think about it and hasn't hit me up since."

"Really?" Mia asked, "So you wanna go with Alexander to Stellaria?"

Madison nodded and spilled the whole situation.

After hearing her out, Mia leaned back and sighed, "Alexander still can't let her go."

Sooner or later, he'd run into Ava, and no one could stop that.

"Ms. Thompson, I also hope Mr. Mitchell can meet Ava and sort out his feelings. Keeping it all bottled up isn't good for him."

"You're right," Mia said, deep in thought. They couldn't keep Alexander from seeing Ava forever.

If Alexander was dead set on seeing Ava, it was gonna happen no matter what.

But if one meeting could make Alexander finally move on from Ava, it wouldn't be a bad thing.

If Madison was there for Alexander when he was down, things could change.

She did look a lot like Ava, almost like it was meant to be.

Maybe God wanted Alexander to find a new love that fit him better, instead of being stuck in a messy love triangle.

Seeing Mia go quiet, Madison got a bit anxious, "Ms. Thompson, what's up?"

"Madison, you wanna hear about Ava? If you're cool with it, I can tell you." Mia asked.

"I don't mind. If you wanna share, I'm all ears. I wanna know what she's like."

Mia nodded, "Alright, I'll tell you."

Then, Mia spilled the tea about Ava.

She talked about how Ava ended up with the Mitchells, the story of her parents' death, and her relationship with Alexander.

More importantly, she shared what kind of person Ava was, her favorite foods, hobbies, and even her way of doing things.

Ava was soft but had a stubborn streak.

Once she made up her mind, she'd stick to it, even if it hurt.

"Madison, don't spoil Alexander too much. Let him feel a bit of loss. Ava was like that; sometimes she'd spoil him, but other times she'd make him suffer without mercy," Mia suggested.
