Chapter 555 Stop Making A Scene
Alexander looked like a lost child, his eyes becoming watery and pitiful.
"Did you get amnesia from being drunk? We're not married anymore," Ava scolded.
He couldn't be like before.
She couldn't be like before either.
Alexander let go of Ava's hand, furrowing his brows as he struggled to stand up from the chair. He clutched his stomach, bending over in pain.
Ava quickly stepped forward to support him. "I should take you to the hospital."
Alexander stubbornly shook off her hand. "I'm not going."
"Why not?"
"There is no specific reason, I simply do not wish to go."
"Alexander, stop being so stubborn, okay?" Ava frowned. "Look at you now."
"What about me?" Alexander turned his head. "It's just a stomachache."
"You know you have a stomachache and still drank so much. Are you deliberately torturing yourself?"
Ava was very angry. He didn't even care about his own body, knowing full well that he had stomach issues and still doing it. That was the most infuriating part.
"And what about you?" Alexander barely stood up straight, with a pale expression and a sarcastic smile. "Did you listen to me and get a check-up?"
"Okay, why are you bringing up my issues? I'm not feeling unwell," Ava refuted.
"Really? I don't think so. My discomfort, I cannot conceal, yet yours you endure in silence."
"I'm not," Ava was getting tired, and said, "Are you going to the hospital or not? If you don't go, I really won't care about you anymore. You can continue to suffer from your stomachache."
In any case, this was all his own doing. Sneaking off quietly to drink so much, acting out in drunkenness, and now clamoring about a stomach ache needing care. How did he become so obstinate, resembling a mischievous child?
"Might as well die. I don't want to live anyway," Alexander almost roared, "Go away, don't care about me, just go!"
Alexander pushed her away stubbornly.
Ava stumbled backward from his force. However, she didn't give up. She approached him again and tried to talk sense into that thick drunken skull of his. "Alexander, stop making a scene!"
"Aren't you leaving? Then go!" Alexander roared and shut the door.
Ava knocked on the door outside.
"Alexander, open the door!"
"No, go away. Don't you find me annoying? Then go!"
Anyway, he was drunk, the alcohol was taking over, and whatever he did could be blamed on a drunkard's antics.
"Alexander, open the door. I need to drive you back. We don't have a driver with us today."
"Don't worry about me, I'll get back myself. You take the car." Alexander was impatient.
"What do you want?"
If she left him here, what if he caused trouble?
"Alexander, what will you tell Grandma if she blames you later?"
"I'll take full responsibility." Alexander locked the door, leaning his back against it, his body slowly sliding down until he sat on the floor.
Ava heard the noise inside and knocked hard on the door. "Open the door."
"I'm not opening it! I'll explain to Grandma. At worst, she'll hit me with her cane again. No big deal, might as well beat me to death, I don't want to live anyway."
"You lunatic, why don't you want to live? It's just a failed marriage, no big deal. There are plenty of women out there. You're the CEO of SK Group. What woman can't you have? Why torture yourself like this?"
