Chapter 1222 Bulk Family
Mandy said, "What did you say? How could no one tell me about such an important matter? William is my grandson, do you think I'm dead?"
"They kept it low-key, so they didn't make a big deal out of it. This was also William's decision. He probably wanted to protect his wife and didn't want her to be involved with too many people, so he didn't tell anyone. But now they are divorced, and it's all over."
"Whose child is that?" Mandy asked.
"Why don't I call William and ask? I can't figure this out either."
Mandy pointed at her, "You are his mother, how can you not care about your son's affairs at all? It's like he's someone else's child."
These words struck Hailey's heart. William was indeed not her child, so she didn't care much about his affairs and didn't want to get too involved. After all, he wasn't her child.
She wouldn't harm William, but she couldn't treat him as her child either, so sometimes their "mother-son" relationship seemed like that of strangers.
"He's grown up, and I don't want to interfere with his freedom. Besides, his father and I are divorced now, and I want to live my own life. Let them decide their matters, I won't interfere."
"You are his mother, and this is a major life event, yet you..." Mandy sighed, "I don't even know what to say. You can't control your husband, and you don't care about your son. Fine, call William quickly. Your family is like a broken household, not even knowing each other's affairs, it's rare to see."
Hailey took out her phone and dialed William's number.
After the call connected, she asked William the relevant questions.
After a while, Hailey hung up the phone and turned around with an awkward smile. "Mom, William said the child is his. Although he and Ava are divorced now, the child is temporarily with the mother, and he will also help raise the child."
Mandy's face turned green. "That's my great-grandchild? Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
"Mom, don't get angry. This is their child's matter, let's not interfere, okay?"
"That's my great-grandchild, how can I not care? William got married and had a child without saying a word, do you all think I'm dead? Every one of you is unfilial. My son and daughter are helping outsiders, and my grandson is the same. I see you don't care about me at all!"
Mandy was furious and immediately told the driver, "Turn around and catch up with that car we just saw."
"Okay." The driver didn't dare to delay and quickly turned the car around, heading in the direction Ava and Bishop had left.
Ava and Bishop parked the car and went into a restaurant.
Mandy also got out of the car angrily and followed them.
"Mom, don't do this." Hailey tried to stop her, but couldn't, and could only watch as Mandy rushed forward.
"Ava."
Hearing someone call his name, Ava turned around and saw Mandy walking towards him.
"Is there something you need?"
"So we were family before, but now we meet like strangers." Mandy said sarcastically.
Ava was initially stunned, then realized and nodded, "Yes, I didn't expect you to be his grandmother."
Ava glanced at Hailey next to Mandy and greeted her, "Hello."
In fact, they were not familiar at all. When she married William, it was made very clear that it was to help William, not a real marriage.
She didn't want to meet William's relatives, and he didn't force her, so many people didn't know William was married.
