Chapter 976 Still Shocked
He was totally out of it, not thinking straight about what he did to Madison.
She had a heart condition and could drop dead any second.
They were already in this mess together.
If he ditched Madison now, would she have a heart attack?
He was desperate to find her a heart for surgery so she could get better.
Until then, he couldn't just leave her hanging; he had to take care of her.
After all, she had given him everything.
After Alexander left the room, he headed to the living room by himself.
He flicked on the light and took a look around.
All the surveillance cameras in the living room were trashed.
That day, William had busted into his house when no one was around.
William wasn't dumb; he must've checked for cameras first and then smashed them.
This way, there was no proof of what he did.
William was smart, Alexander had to admit, but even smart guys screw up sometimes.
No matter how clever William was, he couldn't be perfect.
He was bound to mess up eventually.
This time, William slipped up.
Alexander had a hidden pinhole camera in a sneaky spot in the living room.
It was tucked away in the center of the ceiling, right above the chandelier.
This way, the camera could watch the whole room without being noticed.
Since the house was empty a lot, to prevent damage, he had set up not just obvious cameras but also this hidden one, in case intruders wrecked the visible ones. The pinhole camera was hard to find.
If something went down, this camera would catch it all.
Alexander checked, and the pinhole camera was still there, untouched. Clearly, William hadn't found it.
Alexander plopped down on the sofa with his laptop and got to work.
Soon, an image popped up on the screen, showing William breaking into his place with bodyguards.
In Stellaria, breaking into someone's home with a gun was a big deal, punishable by at least ten years in prison, or even life.
Alexander wasn't about to let William get away with it. Once he handed this video to the cops, William would be toast.
The evidence was solid; even the best lawyer couldn't save him.
Alexander pulled the footage of William and his crew breaking in and leaving.
He planned to hand this over to the Stellaria police.
William was a loose cannon now, acting crazy. He failed this time, but he might did it again.
Even though William had connections, they wouldn't help him in Stellaria.
"Alexander." Madison's voice called out.
Alexander turned and saw Madison walking towards him. "Madison, why are you up?"
"Alexander, I woke up and saw you weren't there. I got worried." She came over to the sofa and asked, "Alexander, what are you doing?"
"Madison," Alexander said, "Last time William broke in here, he hurt you and almost killed me. It was all caught on video."
"Really?" Madison sat beside him. "Let me see."
Alexander played the video for her.
After watching it, Madison said happily, "Great, this is proof of his crime."
Back then, William had almost killed Alexander. It was too much. Madison still felt shocked thinking about it.
