Chapter 1095 Lost Wallet

George was speeding down the road, feeling uneasy.

When he reached a bridge over the sea, George stopped the car. After getting out, he walked to the edge of the bridge, looked at the vast ocean, and let out a long sigh.

He closed his eyes in pain.

He knew he had brought all this upon himself, but he was still in agony. How wonderful it would be if he could start over.

"What are you doing?"

A voice suddenly came from behind George.

He turned around and saw a young man standing behind him, looking very anxious.

George frowned slightly, but before he could say anything, the young man suddenly ran over and said, "Please don't do anything rash. If you need to talk, you can talk to me. This place is very dangerous. Please don't stay here."

Seeing the young man's panicked and helpless expression, George realized that the young man probably thought he was going to commit suicide.

"It's not what you think. I want to calm down."

"Really?" The young man stepped onto the sidewalk and stood next to him. "What happened? You scared me. I thought you were going to jump. A lot of people have jumped from this bridge. I often wonder what drives them to such despair. Life has so much to offer; why can't they see that?"

George looked the young man up and down. "How old are you?"

"I'm nineteen."

"Nineteen." George nodded with a smile. "You're a spirited young man. You have a long life ahead of you, and it's great if you can face it positively. But those who jump from here can't take it anymore. There's no blame in that. After all, who isn't suffering? Some people can't bear it and end it."

The young man looked at him in confusion. "What happened? I see you drive a nice car and dress well. What could be bothering you? Tell me about it."

George suddenly felt that a stranger was so concerned about him, while his son, Alexander, had asked him and his mother to divorce.

His eyes suddenly reddened, as if he was about to cry.

For some reason, seeing this young man made him feel a sudden sadness.

"Don't cry." The young man pulled out a pack of tissues from his pocket.

But along with the tissues, a wallet fell out of his pocket.

He didn't notice and handed the tissues to George.

"Here, wipe your eyes. You must have gotten something in them."

His words gave George a bit of dignity.

George took the tissues. "Young man, thank you. What's your name?"

"My name is Eason," he said with a smile. "And you?"

"My last name is Mitchell. My name is George."

"Nice to meet you, Uncle George," Eason said politely. "Uncle George, don't stay here. It's windy, and parking isn't allowed here. If the traffic police find out, it won't be good."

George responded, "Okay, I'll leave now. Thank you."

A pack of tissues was enough to comfort him. At least in his most painful moment, a stranger cared about him.

As Eason turned to leave, George noticed a wallet on the ground.

He quickly picked it up.

"Eason, you dropped your wallet."

Eason had only taken a couple of steps. Hearing George, he turned around and saw his wallet. He immediately walked back and took it with both hands.
