Chapter420 It Doesn't Matter

Ava felt overwhelmed by the scene and quickly turned her head away. "Vicky, can I leave now?"

"There's more to come," Vicky replied nonchalantly. "This place is in a mess. Anything you can imagine happens here. Look at that woman over there; she's the one my brother is going to marry."

Following Vicky's gaze, Ava saw a tall and elegant woman in a silver strapless dress confidently swaying her body as she took the microphone and a drink from a male attendant.

After Samantha finished her drink, she dragged the male attendant over and sat on his lap, their noses almost touching.

Ava couldn't help but worry about whether Samantha would continue this behavior after marrying William. Wouldn't William be humiliated as her husband?

Samantha seemed to notice someone watching her, so she got off the male attendant and approached Ava and Vicky in her high heels.

"Hello, Vicky. Care to join us?" Samantha asked with a smile.

"No, thanks," Vicky replied. "I'm just here to take a look. By the way, let me introduce my friend."

Vicky held Ava's arm.

"Really?" Samantha cast a discerning gaze upon Ava, who appeared demure and clearly set apart from their ilk.

However, she was indeed beautiful.

"Since you are here, let's have fun together." Samantha grabbed Ava's hand. "Let's go singing."

Before Ava could react, Samantha had already pulled her away. Vicky tried to stop them, but someone drunk stumbled into her, forcing her to let go of Ava.

"Here." Samantha poured a drink for Ava. "Vicky is my future sister-in-law, and her friends are my friends too. Cheers."

"No, thank you," Ava quickly declined. "I don't drink."

"You are not drinking? You're embarrassing me." Samantha's expression turned serious.

Ava knew that people who had been drinking could react unpredictably, so she had to be honest.

"I can't drink. I'm pregnant."

"Oh, really?" Samantha glanced at her belly. "I see. You're so young. Are you married?"

Ava smiled awkwardly. "I'm divorced."

Samantha suddenly laughed. "Your ex-husband must be a jerk. Why else would you divorce him while pregnant?"

Ava smiled bitterly. "There's no point in talking about my ex-husband. What about you? You seem happy about marriage. Do you want to marry Vicky's brother?"

Ava wanted to know Samantha's attitude. If she didn't want to marry William, would there be a chance for things to change?

Samantha put down her glass and sat on a nearby chair, looking relaxed and carefree.

"I'm happy every day, and getting married doesn't stop me from having fun. It doesn't matter. Besides, he's handsome, so having another handsome guy around is not a bad thing."
