Chapter 495 Sister, I Was Scared

"Really? He's awake!" Eason exclaimed. "That's great. Now you won't be sad anymore. I'm so happy."

Eason opened his arms. "Could we hug?"

"Alright." Ava raised her hand and patted his head. "We couldn't hug. I'm married."

"So what? I'm your younger brother," Eason muttered.

"But you're also an adult."

Eason smiled.

"Why are you happy?"

Eason said, "You said I'm an adult. I'm happy because I'm not a child anymore."

Ava said, "Yes, you're not a child anymore. You're a genius."

She gave him a thumbs up.

"I'm relieved to see you're okay. I'll leave now. We should have dinner together next time. We've been talking about it but haven't done it yet."

Ava nodded. "Once I'm done with my busy schedule, I'll treat you to dinner."

"Okay, I'll remember that. Goodbye, sister." Eason waved goodbye to her.

As he turned to leave, he suddenly bent over, clutching his stomach and groaning in pain.

Ava felt panicked and quickly went to support him. "Eason, what's wrong?"

Eason was covered with sweat, looking terrible. "I'm in so much pain."

"I'll take you to see a doctor."

"It's okay. I can go by myself. You may attend to your affairs. Since you were going to buy food, you probably haven't eaten yet. Don't worry about me."

"Ah!" He cried out, fell to the ground. Ava couldn't hold him up.

Eason writhed on the ground with a cold sweat. Ava was anxious. "Eason!"

She rushed forward, exerted herself to help Eason up, and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "Eason, I'll take you to see a doctor. Hang in there."

Eason was in too much pain to speak. He could only rely on Ava as they staggered into the hospital.

Eason was taken to the emergency room. After the examination, the doctor immediately said, "His appendix has burst. He needs surgery immediately. Take him to the operating room quickly!"

Medical staff pushed Eason's bed hurriedly towards the operating room.

Eason was in so much pain that he was almost fainting. He opened his eyes drowsily and saw Ava following the bed.

She was so beautiful, even in times of urgency.

"Sister." He reached out his hand to her.

"Eason." Ava held his hand. "Don't worry. The doctor will make you better."

"Sister, could you not leave? I'm really scared."

He was truly scared. It had been many years since he felt this way.

"I won't leave. I'll wait for you here, and won't go anywhere."

"Miss, Wait. You can't go in." The doctor stopped her.

Ava stood outside the red line, watching Eason being pushed into the operating room. She could only sit on a chair outside, anxiously waiting.

Ava wasn't sure how long the surgery would take. She suddenly remembered she needed to buy food for William, but she couldn't leave the operating room now. She had promised Eason to wait for him here. What if she went and he couldn't find her when he came out?

After thinking for a while, Ava took out her phone to call the bodyguard.

When she turned on her phone, she saw a low battery warning.

She had been worried about William and hadn't charged her phone much.

With the last bit of battery left, Ava called the bodyguard. As soon as she finished the call, the phone automatically shut down.
