Chapter 558 Dance at Your Grave

"Alex, if you keep this up, I'll ignore you."

"You're angry." Alex, with tears in his eyes, stepped forward and hugged her. "Don't be mad at me. I was wrong."

Ava was speechless. He seemed ready to be stubborn one second and immediately apologized the next. His sudden change in attitude was nothing like him at all.

Was this his true nature that she had never noticed, or had he changed completely after the divorce?

Ava sighed helplessly.

"Alex, you ask me not to be mad at you, but everything you do makes me angry. Can't you just calm down a bit?"

Alex wiped the moisture from the corner of his eye. Suddenly, he grasped Ava's hand, lifted her right hand, and pressed it against his face. "Ava, aren't you going to hit me? Go ahead, I won't stop you."

He grabbed Ava's hand and made her hit his face. "Hit me hard. However, you want, as long as it calms you down."

"Alex, stop it, let go of me!"

"You want to hit me. Didn't you want to slap me before? Go ahead! Please, just hit me now, okay?"

He really wished Ava would hit him hard, even if it meant beating him to a pulp.

She might as well beat him to death.

"I won't hit you, let go of me."

Earlier, she wanted to hit him out of impulse, but luckily, Alex reacted quickly and grabbed her hand. Otherwise, if she had slapped him, she didn't know what the consequences would be.

Of course, he wouldn't do anything to her; she knew that, but the key was that she would feel guilty.

When she had hit Alex before, she didn't get any sense of revenge. Instead, she felt endless sorrow, not because she pitied him but because she found herself ridiculous.

What was the point of hitting him? Things had already happened, and they couldn't go change anything.

"Alex, I don't want to hit you. Please stop."

Ava's voice was tearful. She was on the verge of crying because of him. Her anger was more of a helplessness.

She felt like she was dealing with a difficult child. She really couldn't imagine if the one in her belly would be a miniature version of Alex.

That would be a disaster.

Seeing Ava's teary eyes, Alex finally let go of her hand and lowered his head dejectedly, "Sorry, baby."

Ava felt extremely helpless.

"How much did you drink?" Ava looked at him, finding it hard to imagine how much he had drunk in the ten minutes he had been away.

"Not much." Alex collapsed to the ground, clutching his stomach. His brows furrowed, cold sweat streaming down his forehead.

"Alex!" Ava rushed forward, kneeling beside him, and turned his body over. "What's wrong with you?"

Alex tightly grabbed her hand. "Ava, I'm in pain. Can you hold me?"

Seeing Alex's painful appearance, it didn't seem like an act.

"Come on, I'll take you to the hospital."

"I won't go. Can you just hold me? Please." He was extremely stubborn.

"Alex, it's already late. Why are you saying such things? Going to the hospital is what's important now."

"I won't go, let me die in pain."

"Alex, who benefits from your death? Do you think if you die, I'll feel sorry for you and then suffer for you for the rest of my life? Let me tell you, it's impossible. If you die, I'll be extremely happy. I can live happily with William, then dance at your grave with him. Kiss in front of your tombstone, and if the mood strikes, we might even make love right on top of it!"
