Chapter 890 Let's Divorce

"William, I don't want to love him anymore. But why does it still hurt so damn much? Why?"

William gritted his teeth, his eyes dark with anger.

Alexander treated her like crap, yet she still loved him, bawling her eyes out over him.

William felt a bit pissed at Ava, but he hated Alexander even more.

It was all Alexander's fault.

What right did Alexander have to get Ava's love all this time?

He had no right at all.

Ava was such a fool.

Even though William was a bit mad at Ava, he felt more heartache for her.

"William, let's get a divorce, okay? Let's just end this."

Ava finally couldn't hold it in and blurted out her true feelings.

William was stunned. "What did you just say?"

"William." Ava got up from his embrace and held his face. "Our marriage has been a sham from the start. Let's get a divorce. This isn't fair to you. We're not really husband and wife. I'm sorry, William, I'm so sorry."

"No, I won't divorce you!" William held her tightly, losing his cool. "Ava, you promised me you wouldn't bring up divorce again. Please, I'm begging you, don't say it anymore, okay?"

"William, why are you being so stupid? You know that if we keep this up, I'll just keep hurting you."

"You haven't hurt me." William said softly. "You're always the best. I know you have your reasons. You saw Alexander today, you're in pain, crying, it's okay. I still want to be by your side. I believe time will heal everything. You won't be alone. Let me stay with you."

Ava was crying so hard she couldn't speak.

William, worried she'd be uncomfortable staying in one position, held her and lay down on the bed, covering them both with a blanket, holding her tightly.

He kissed her forehead, wiping away the tears streaming down her face.

With every tear Ava shed, William hated Alexander even more.

"Ava," he said tenderly, holding her face. "Can you think of me as your real husband? Maybe if I become your real husband, you won't be in so much pain. Our family of three will never be separated."

Ava lifted her swollen eyelids and gently touched his face. "William, do you really want to make love to me that much?"

"I dream of making love to you. In my heart, you're my only beloved and no one can replace you."

Ava didn't know what to say to express her feelings.

Alexander gave her pain and despair while William gave her tenderness and emotion. There was no comparison between the two.

But why were the memories that stuck with her the most those of pain and despair?

Seeing a moment of hesitation in Ava's eyes, William immediately pressed her down, kissing her lips.

Ava didn't push him away, lying on the bed in despair, letting William kiss her and unbutton her clothes.

But gradually, as William's kisses became more passionate, Ava cried even harder.

In the end, she was sobbing in grief.

Seeing Ava crying so hard, William panicked. He quickly pulled her clothes back together, covering her skin.

"Ava, what's wrong? Did I make you uncomfortable?"

Ava didn't speak, just kept crying.

Seeing her cry like this, William couldn't continue. He didn't want to hurt her, even though Ava's current pain was a good opportunity for him to take advantage of her.
