Chapter 859 If You Don't Wanna Talk, Just Leave

About forty minutes later, there was a knock on the door of the ward.

Sounding like she was scared Alexander might blow up again, Madison's voice came from outside, "Mr. Mitchell, it's me."

Alexander said, "Come in."

With his okay, Madison opened the door and slipped in, closing it gently behind her.

Her head wound was patched up, but she looked pale and fragile, like she could break at any moment. She was the kind of girl who could easily tug at a guy's heartstrings.

Too bad Alexander's heart was already taken by someone else; Madison was just too late to the game.

She nervously shuffled over to Alexander's bedside, wringing her hands, looking all lost and helpless.

Alexander glanced at the cut on her forehead. "What did the doc say? Need stitches?"

Madison shook her head. "No stitches, the doc said it's no big deal."

Alexander let out a breath, "Good. If you got something to say, spit it out."

Madison stood there, looking all anxious and hesitant, like she wanted to say something but was too scared, finally just looking down in silence.

Alexander frowned, "What's up?"

"I, I..."

Seeing her all hesitant, Alexander got a bit annoyed. "What do you want to say? If you don't wanna talk, then just leave."

Madison's heart skipped a beat, she bit her lip, and tears started falling.

Seeing her cry just made Alexander more irritated. "Can you stop crying?"

She was stammering and not saying anything, and when he asked one more question, she cried, like he had done something terrible to her.

Thinking it over, Ava was still the best; no one could compare to her.

Even if Ava wanted him dead.

Alexander thought of Ava again, his gaze darkening.

Madison wiped the tears from her face, "Please don't get mad at me after I say it."

Alexander's brows furrowed even tighter, finding her super annoying. "If you think I'll get mad, then don't say it. Just leave."

Madison was stunned; Alexander seemed different from before.

He seemed more easily angered.

In the end, she decided not to say it, "Well, rest well, I'll leave now."

He was right; if it would make him angry, there was no point in mentioning it, it would seem like she was doing it on purpose.

She didn't want Alexander to think of her that way.

Madison turned to leave, and seeing her sad back, Alexander thought she might have something urgent, or maybe her ex-boyfriend was bugging her again.

She was just a girl, what if something happened because he didn't listen to her?

He couldn't help but think of Ava again.

"Wait a minute," Alexander called out to her.

Madison stopped and turned around, "Mr. Mitchell, is there anything else?"

"If you have something to say, say it quickly. I'm giving you one last chance."

If she said it, he might get angry, but if she didn't, he would be even angrier.

Saying half of it and then stopping was the most annoying.

If she was worried about him getting angry, she shouldn't have brought it up at all.

If it weren't for the fact that she looked a bit like Ava, he would have just let her go.

Madison was overjoyed that Alexander was still willing to listen.

She began, "Mr. Mitchell, didn't I tell you before that I have a wish to travel to Stellaria?"

Alexander responded, "And? Are you planning to go now?"

Madison thought for a moment and then said, "Yes, I want to go."

Alexander said, "Alright, I'll have someone buy you a ticket and make arrangements."

"No," Madison said, "I don't want you to arrange anything for me, I want to go with you."

"What did you say?" Alexander's gaze turned cold. "You want to go to Stellaria with me?"

Madison mustered up her courage and said, "Yes, Mr. Mitchell, let's go to Stellaria together."

It took a lot of guts for her to say that.

Alexander's face, unsurprisingly, turned very grim, "Do you know what you're saying?"
